Representative John Dingell Watch: You’re NOT Against Hezbollah?
Representative John Dingell, D- Michigan
Powerline: Dingell: What’s Wrong With Hezbollah?
Yesterday, Representative John Dingell of Michigan appeared on a Detroit television program along with Republican Candice Miller. They discussed the crisis in Lebanon; Dingell proclaimed himself neutral. “I don’t take sides for or against Hezbollah; I don’t take sides for or against Israel.” Asked, “You’re not against Hezbollah?” Dingell answers, “No…”
Listen to Representative Dingell’s comments for yourself:
or go here.
This old lefty should have been retired out of the Congress years ago.
Should the Democrats regain the majority in the House this November, Dingell would become Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
And…..Dingell was one of the eight Democrats (there were NO Republicans, except for Dr. No – Ron Paul – who is really a Libertarian) that did NOT vote for a Congressional resolution supporting Israel in its war with Hezbollah.
Representative Dingell, don’t you remember what Hezbollah did to the United States Marines in Lebanon?

1. This is libelously untrue: what part of “”I condemn Hezbollah” is too subtle for you?
See http://njdc.typepad.com/njdcs_blog/2006/08/advice_to_jewis.html for more.
2. You write, “And…..Dingell was one of the eight Democrats (there were NO Republicans) that did NOT vote for a Congressional resolution supporting Israel in its war with Hezbollah.”
Ron Paul is a Republican. He voted against the resolution. http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2006/roll391.xml#NV
DO FACTS matter to you?
Flap
Fact do matter and I will reflect the fact that Ron Paul who is RINO and who really is a member of the Libertarian Party voted with Representative Dingell. And what is Ron Paul’s nickname in the House – “Dr. No!” He votes against everything.
And the first part of your comment is what? Libelous? I think not.
Readers can listen to Dingell and judge for themselves what he said. If he misspoke then he can hold a news conference and correct the record.
Right?

I don’t like Cynthis McKinney, but I don’t deny she is, sadly, a Democrat. For the moment.
Indeed, we’re critical of our own when we should be: e.g.,http://njdc.typepad.com/njdcs_blog/2006/05/njdcs_latest_em.html and http://209.59.159.153/njdcspeaks/detail.php?id=293
Ron paul — who is NO better than McKinney — is recognized by George Bush, the Clerk of the US House of Representatives, and Dennis Hastert as a Republican. But a random blogger gets to claim he is not a Republican.
Your relationship with facts seems headed for divorce….
And have you yet condemned John Warner??????? http://njdc.typepad.com/njdcs_blog/2006/07/for_immediate_r_1.html
[oh, and I lvoe how you in no way indicate that your RINO statement is an update — it is bad blog protocol to pretend you didn’t make the error.]
Flap
Ron Paul is as much a Republican as Joe Lieberman is a Democrat, No?
You ignore the facts of Ron Paul’s history. Libertarian he is and a Republican by registration whose nickname is DR. NO. He votes No on everything.
Now, back to Dingell who you avoid discussing. There is an update post on this Flap: Representative John Dingell Watch: You’re NOT Against Hezbollah? REDUX
Check it out and now back to Dingell…..
