Rudy Giuliani Watch: Rudy – “America Will Be Safer with a Republican President” The Democrat Response

Remember Rudy yesterday?

The Quotes:

“If any Republican is elected president – – and I think obviously I would be the best at this – – we will remain on offense and will anticipate what (the terrorists) will do and try to stop them before they do it,” Giuliani said.

“But the question is how long will it take and how many casualties will we have?” Giuliani said. “If we are on defense (with a Democratic president,) we will have more losses and it will go on longer.”

“The Democrats do not understand the full nature and scope of the terrorist war against us.”

“America will (be) safer with a Republican president.”

“This war ends when they stop coming here to kill us!” Giuliani said. “Never ever again will this country ever be on defense waiting for (terrorists) to attack us if I have anything to say about it. And make no mistake, the Democrats want to put us back on defense!”

Giuliani said terrorists “hate us and not because of anything bad we have done; it has nothing to do with Israel and Palestine. They hate us for the freedoms we have and the freedoms we want to share with the world.”

Giuliani continued: “The freedoms we have are in conflict with the perverted, maniacal interpretation of their religion.” He said Americans would fight for “freedom for women, the freedom of elections, freedom of religion, and the freedom of our economy.”

Addressing the terrorists directly, Giuliani said: “We are not giving that up and you are not going to take it from us!”

“They were at war with us before we realized it, going back to 90s with all the Americans killed by the PLO and Hezbollah and Hamas,” he said. “They came here and killed us in 1993 (with the first attack on New York’s World Trade Center killing six people) and we didn’t get it. We didn’t get it that this was a war. Then Sept. 11, 2001 happened and we got it.”

After Rudy’s delivered line of “We are not giving that up and you are not going to take it from us!” the crowd assembled at the New Hampshire Rockingham County Lincoln Day Dinner thundered its approval.

And remember that Flap asked the Democrat Presidential candidates to respond?

Well, they finally did.

Democrats say Giuliani fear-mongers

Democratic presidential candidates on Wednesday rebuked Republican rival Rudy Giuliani for suggesting that the United States could face another major terrorist attack if a Democrat is elected in 2008.

llinois Sen. Barack Obama said the former New York City mayor, who was in charge on Sept. 11, 2001, should not be making the terrorist threat into “the punchline of another political attack.”

“Rudy Giuliani today has taken the politics of fear to a new low and I believe Americans are ready to reject those kind of politics,” Obama said in a statement.

Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards said Giuliani knows better than to suggest there is a “superior Republican way to fight terrorism.” Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton didn’t call out her fellow New Yorker by name, but weighed in with a statement posted on her campaign Web site.

Extremely weak sauce responses. In fact, Hillary Clinton does not even address Rudy but instead attacks President Bush.

“There are people right now in the world, not just wishing us harm but actively planning and plotting to cause us harm. If the last six years of the Bush Administration have taught us anything, it’s that political rhetoric won’t do anything to quell those threats. And that America is ready for a change.

“One of the great tragedies of this Administration is that the President failed to keep this country unified after 9/11. We have to protect our country from terrorism — it shouldn’t be a Democratic fight or a Republican fight. The plain truth is that this Administration has done too little to protect our ports, make our mass transit safer, and protect our cities. They have isolated us in the world and have let Al Qaeda regroup. The next President is going to be left with these problems and will have to do what it takes to make us safer and bring Democrats and Republicans together around this common mission of protecting our nation. That is exactly what has to be done and what I am ready to do.”

And Barack Obama’s response was equally weak:

“Rudy Giuliani today has taken the politics of fear to a new low and I believe Americans are ready to reject those kind of politics,” Obama said in a statement. “America’s mayor should know that when it comes to 9-11 and fighting terrorists, America is united. We know we can win this war based on shared purpose, not the same divisive politics that question your patriotism if you dare to question failed policies that have made us less secure.”

And whose failed policies are those?

Bill Clinton’s and his Democrat Administration prior to 9/11, right?

These “SURRENDER MONKEYS” have no plan for the Global War on Terror but only snipe at a tough-going and unpopular war in Iraq to gain political advantage. Withdraw they say. Get out. And then when the Middle East burns and America is attacked again, what will they say?

Wha happened?

Flap asks Americans who would you rather have as President?

The video of Rudy’s speech from New Hampshire is here:

And lookie lookie Rudy responded to the Dim Surrender Monkey’s on Sean Hannity’s radio show here and here.

Rudy, it WAS a HOME RUN.

Listen to it all…….The Mayor discusses the Democrat’s “Politics of Defeat.”
