Howard Dean: People Want Us to Fight

Howard Dean said Saturday that positive responses from key supporters have reinforced his determination to keep talking tough. Some congressional Democrats have suggested that the party chairman should tone down his rhetoric.

“People want us to fight,” Dean told the national party’s executive committee. “We are here to fight.”

Yes, Mr. Chairman, but, the public is not going to tolerate racially insensitive and bigoted remarks.

Over the past week, Dean described Republicans as “pretty much a white, Christian party” and said many in the GOP “never made an honest living.”

Several Democratic lawmakers distanced themselves from their chairman. Republican officials called on him to apologize. After weathering the criticism, Dean forged ahead with the GOP scolding at the meeting of Democratic National Committee leaders.

Great Job Dr. Dean!

Keep up the good work!

Yet some Democrats say the former Vermont governor should not remain the center of attention.

“Privately, people have said they don’t want Howard Dean to become the story because we have more important issues to talk about,” said Donna Brazile, who managed
Al Gore’s presidential campaign in 2000.

“But publicly we will continue to give Howard Dean our strong support,” she said

Translation…… Dean is a goner but we won’t get rid of him just yet.

One of Dean’s predecessors at the DNC, Don Fowler said, “The controversy over this statement or that statement is a blip and only a blip.” But Fowler complained about leading Democrats who aired their gripes last week. “Even if they don’t like it, they should have enough sense not to make those comments,” Fowler said.

Yes, the candidates for the 2006 election cycle in southern border states should definitley embrace Howard Dean’s bigoted anti-Christian remarks.

This will help them win the elections.

At the session in a downtown hotel, Dean accused Republicans of trying to suppress the vote, selling access to the White House for lobbyists and basically being dishonest with the public.

“The reason the Republicans are in trouble is because there are so many cases where they say one thing and do something else,” Dean said.

Ha! Ha! Here we go again!

Stay tuned for more comments from this clown.

Howard Dean: DNC - Dont Wimp Out!

Democratic National Committee leaders embraced feisty party boss Howard Dean on Saturday and urged him to keep fighting despite a flap over his blunt comments on Republicans:

After a meeting of the DNC’s 40-member executive committee at a downtown hotel, members said Dean was doing exactly what they elected him to do — build the party in all states and aggressively challenge Republicans.

“I hope Governor Dean will remember that he didn’t get elected to be a wimp,” said DNC member Gilda Cobb-Hunter, a South Carolina state representative. “We have been waiting a long time for someone to stand up for Democrats.”

The DNC Executive Committee:

Yes, Chairman Dean we, Americans, by now are becoming use to your racially divisive, bigoted comments from the Democrat Left.

But in a series of interviews DNC members backed the former Vermont governor, known for his fiery rhetoric during his failed 2004 White House run, and said they knew what they were getting when they elected him in February as chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

“Howard Dean is going to be much more aggressive, much more outspoken and much more of a risk-taker outside the Beltway than any chairman has been. We knew that,” said Alvaro Cifuentes, chairman of the DNC Hispanic caucus.

“We have to get our politics out of Washington. We cannot continue to be held captive by party leaders who I respect but who have to play their own local politics,” Cifuentes said, calling congressional Democrats “timid” and the flap over his comments “mostly a Beltway play.”

Karen Marchioro, a DNC member from Washington state, said she was stunned to see so many congressional Democrats back away from Dean.

“We always defend them, why won’t they defend us? And they want us to support them for president?” she asked. “I have no desire to lose, I just think this is the way you win — you let people know where you stand and you fight.”

Cobb-Hunter said Dean “should consider the source — congressional Democrats. What’s their track record? He’s doing what a lot of us wanted him to do and expected him to do.”

The flap over Dean’s comments was not mentioned directly during a two-hour executive committee working session, which included polling reports and Dean’s report on his effort to move resources and organizers into all 50 states.

Several DNC members said Dean had done what he promised — shift the party’s focus to local races rather than concentrate solely on the White House, and pump money into “red” states dominated in recent years by Republicans.

Western Democrats said they were thrilled Dean attended a regional meeting in Helena, Montana, last weekend. “How many Democratic chairmen have gone out to Montana?” asked Steven Alari of California.

“When we elected Dean we knew we were getting a leader who would be good at organizing the base and getting the message out to the American people, and that’s what he’s doing,” Alari said. “He’s our guy.”

As long as Dean is Chairman of the DNC the Democrats will be on the defensive and off message.

It is so good to hear the loyal support from the grassroot Lefties.

Flap’s Handicap: Dean will be Chairman through the summer until Hillary’s people take over.

 Methamphetamine: Meth Mouth ReDux

The New York Times has another Methamphetamine Mouth story:

The condition, known to some as meth mouth, has been studied little in dentistry’s academic circles and is unknown to many dentists, whose patients are increasingly focused on cosmetic issues: the bleaching and perfect veneers of television’s makeover shows. But other dentists, especially those in the open, empty swaths of land where methamphetamine is being manufactured in homemade laboratories, say they are seeing a growing number of such cases.

Flap takes exception to these comments, because they are incorrect

This blogger has been publishing stories regarding methamphetamine since the inception of my first blog

Examples of recent stories are:

Dentists are increasing aware of the scourage of methampetamine and how this is truely:

AN UNNECESSARY EPIDEMIC.

Flap as a California clinical dentist, who sees patients over thirty hours per week, examines patient;s with “Meth Mouth” all too frequently - a few times a week.

The hapless patients lose their teeth, but are in the process of losing their lives.

I urge the President and the Congress to please take the necessary steps to eliminate this deadly scourage.
