1595230068.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_ The Truth About Hillary: Raped By Bill

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton turned furious and considered legal action after learning bestselling author Ed Klein would allege in a new book: Bill Clinton raped her — resulting in the conception of daughter Chelsea Clinton!

“[Author] Klein is going to rot in hell for this,” a well-placed source close to Hillary said over the weekend.

The explosive charge comes in THE TRUTH ABOUT HILLARY: WHAT SHE KNEW, WHEN SHE KNEW IT, AND HOW FAR SHE’LL GO TO BECOME PRESIDENT — set for release next week.

“I’m going back to my cottage to rape my wife,” Klein quotes Bill Clinton as saying during a Bermuda getaway in 1979.

In the morning, the Clintons’ room “looked like World War III. There are pillows and busted-up furniture all over the place,” an unnamed source tells Klein.

Klein source claims Bill later learned Hillary was pregnant reading about it in the ARKANSAS GAZETTE.

“The fact that his wife didn’t tell him that she was pregnant before she told a reporter doesn’t seem to phase him one bit, because he says, ‘Do you know what night that happened?”

“‘No,’ I say. ‘When?” “‘It was Bermuda,’ he says, ‘And you were there!’”

Ok!

 Howard Dean: Over the Top

Howard Dean is “over the top,” Vice President Dick Cheney says, calling the Democrats’ chairman “not the kind of individual you want to have representing your political party.”

I’ve never been able to understand his appeal. Maybe his mother loved him, but I’ve never met anybody who does. He’s never won anything, as best I can tell,” Cheney said in an interview to be aired Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity & Colmes.”

Dean was elected governor of Vermont five times between 1992 and 2000. He ran for the 2004 Democratic presidential nomination but closed down his campaign after poor showings in early primaries.

In recent weeks, Dean has described the GOP as “pretty much a white, Christian party” and said many Republicans have “never made an honest living.” Republican leaders have called on him to apologize, and even some Democrats have distanced themselves from his remarks.

“So far, I think he’s probably helped us more than he has them,” Cheney said in the interview taped Friday. “That’s not the kind of individual you want to have representing your political party.

The vice president added: “I really think Howard Dean’s over the top. And more important … I think many of his fellow Democrats feel the same way.”

But, Dean is still fighting and shooting from his lip.

Dean said Saturday that positive responses from influential supporters have reinforced his determination to keep talking tough.

“People want us to fight,” Dean told the national party’s executive committee. “We are here to fight.”

Addressing Iowa party activists later Saturday in Des Moines, he added: “We need to be blunt and clear about the things we’re going to fight for. I’m tired of lying down in front of the Republican machine. We need to stand up for what we believe in.”

This FLAP is all about Howard Dean.

This guy has a bigger ego than John McCain.

hkparks Linda Parks: A Challenge?

Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks who will stand for re-election in June 2006 may face two possible challengers:

A California Lutheran University professor and a Conejo Recreation and Park District board member are considering running for Linda Parks’ seat on the Ventura County Board of Supervisors.

Political science professor Herb Gooch, 62, of Thousand Oaks confirmed he was gauging his ability to raise money for a campaign. Park District board member Joe Gibson, 50, of Newbury Park also said he was considering a bid and has recently formed a committee to gauge support and funding.

Defeating an incumbent Ventura Count Supervisor is always tough. In recent times only two supervisors have been voted out of office:

Ed Jones who was caught in a No-Tell Motel with someone other than his wife and

Madge Schaeffer who ignored her challenger and was shocked in a head to head primary by a few hundred votes.

The primary election for the seat will be held June 6, 2006. Parks is expected to seek re-election.

County supervisors oversee a $1 billion-plus annual budget. Parks’ district includes Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Lake Sherwood and the Santa Rosa Valley.

Both Gooch and Gibson called Parks a one-issue candidate devoted to an anti-growth agenda.

“I think the county can do a lot better than it is, and I’m not convinced Linda Parks can accomplish the things we need,” Gooch said.

Gibson, a self-employed environmental consultant, said, “I think I can be more than a one-issue supervisor.”

Parks, 48, a former Thousand Oaks councilwoman, is serving her first term on the board following a 2002 victory over businessman Randy Hoffman.

Flap handicaps this race as an easy Park’s primary victory. Her slow growth advocacy(popular with voters in Thousand Oaks) and a low key populist approach to her office have made her few enemies.

There is little incentive for folks to vote against her.

Both Gooch and Gibson have little chance to upset this incumbent unless something cataclismic occurs.

Now, if we were discussing an Andy Fox, City of Thousand Oaks Councilmember, candidacy then this would be a different race.

Will Andy run?

02_arnold California Governor to Call for Special Election Tomorrow

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will call a special election Monday to bring what he believes are urgent reforms to the state, his top aide told a Republican gathering Saturday.

We are on our way to a historic special election in an off-year,” Schwarzenegger chief of staff Pat Clarey told attendees at the Firestone Weekend, an annual GOP retreat. “His reforms will bring California back to where we belong, the envy of the country. We need to bring the fiscal state back together.”

Clarey insisted that nothing was official until Schwarzenegger makes his own announcement regarding the special election on Monday, when the governor has scheduled a 5 p.m. address from his Capitol office. But she left little doubt that Schwarzenegger and his team will be in full campaign mode soon on behalf of three initiatives, all of which have qualified for a November election.

The three include a cap on state spending, a measure to redraw legislative and congressional districts, and a proposal to extend the time it takes teachers to gain tenure. The spending initiative will be among the most contentious, opposed by teachers and other public employees who fear it would lead to massive cuts. Schwarzenegger, however, says California cannot afford many of the state’s mandatory spending programs.

There most probably will be additonal measures which qualify for the Special Election Ballot:

Requiring parental notification for abortion

Paycheck Protection - making it harder for public employee unions to raise political cash - would bar public employee labor unions from using union dues or fees for political contributions unless their members provide written consent.

Democrat-backed measures re-regulating the power industry and offering discounts for prescription drugs are nearing ballot approval, as is a separate prescription drug measure sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry.

It’s hard to see any downside to calling the special election,” said Dan Schnur, a Republican consultant. “At the very worst, (Schwarzenegger) comes out with the status quo.”

The special election “is an absolutely essential thing to do at this point of the public discussion that began with the recall,” said state Sen. Tom McClintock, R-Thousand Oaks. “I told the governor after his election that the same Legislature that got us into this mess won’t get us out.”

Agreed….. bring on the election!

latimeslogo7lf LA Times: Outside The Tent

The Los Angeles Times Outside the Tent feature: An experimental column in which the Los Angeles Times invites outside critics to rip a Southern California newspaper whose most popular features include a weekly column on celebrity real estate transactions reappears today after an over thirty day day absence.

Today’s piece is written by Gustavo Arellano, a staff writer with OC Weekly and fourth-generation Orange Countian. In his arcane story, Arellano bitches and moans for far too many column inches why the Los Angeles Times should cover the big “OC” - Orange County.

Hey Gustavo…..it is the Los Angeles Times not the Santa Ana or Laguna Beach Times.

We readers in Ventura County have the Ventura County Star and Orange County readers have the Orange County Register.

Let the Los Angeles Times be the Los Angeles newspaper.
