Errors Kill USC in Super Regional Loss to Oregon StatePosted by Flap in NCAA College Baseball
The USC Trojans committed a season-high eight errors Saturday as the Oregon State Beavers won the first game of the NCAA Super Regional, 10-4, at Goss Stadium/Coleman Field. USC, who committed only 55 errors as a team through 60 games, allowed a total of nine unearned runs on the evening. Oregon State (45-9), the reigning Pac-10 Conference champion, needs just one win to advance to the 2005 College World Series in Omaha, Neb. The series continues Sunday with a 6 p.m. Pacific start with the series finale on Monday (June 13), if necessary, at 4 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN2 with live stats on ncaasports.com.
