California Special Election: No Westworld for Arnold
The California Special Election this November better be worth it.
The remake of sci-fi thriller “Westworld” is going ahead without the Governator. Arnold Schwarzenegger was to have co-produced and appeared in the movie, but those plans were put aside after his 2003 election.
The trade paper Daily Variety reported Friday that a director has been chosen for the remake: Tarsem Singh, who directed the 2000 thriller “The Cell” starring Jennifer Lopez.
Schwarzenegger, who starred in the “Terminator” and “Conan” movies, has not held any discussions about involvement with the film, his representative said Friday.
“It’s not even on the governor’s radar right now,” spokeswoman Sheryl Main said. “He’s concentrating on the special election that’s coming up in November. That is not even a blip on the screen.”
There’s no word on when “Westworld” might start production or be released.
The original “Westworld,” released in 1973, starred Yul Brynner as “Robot Gunslinger,” who stalks a pair of vacationers at a futuristic amusement park. The cult classic was written and directed by the novelist Michael Crichton.
Flap is positive that the California Nurses Association and California Teachers Association would love the Governor to retire from politics.
Flap loves the Governator’s movies ……so it is a tough choice.
But, somebody has to reform California and the Terminator is the MAN.
The original movie, starring Yul Brenner and Dick Benjamin can be purchased here.
Will Bruce Willis star?

Cindy Sheehan Watch: Blogger
Cindy Sheehan is blogging at Sacramento for Democracy. This is the same blog that Steven Pearcy has blogged some of his crap and events. Remember him from the U.S. in the Toilet art.
Leave my family alone
I apparently am the sacrificial lamb of the peace movement. I don’t care about myself. Putting myself in the forefront and daring to challenge the president on his lies left myself open to the attacks. Which are, of course, half truths and distortions.
When they start sliming my home life and my family, that’s where I draw the line. Yes, my husband has filed for divorce and yes he filed before I left for the VFP Convention and this trip to Crawford and yes IT IS BETWEEN MY HUSBAND AND I.
Eric Hogue finds it interesting that she is blogging on a blog entitled such, she is protesting a war that is delivering Democracy to the Iraqi people.
Indeed!

Cindy Sheehan Watch: Now I know How Mickey Mouse Feels at Disneyland
More from the Huffington Post written by Cindy Sheehan, the grieving mother anti-war activist, waiting for a meeting with President Bush while encamped outside of the President’s ranch in Crawford, Texas.
Now, she faults the President for taking a bike ride and NOT talking with her.
She fails to mention she has already met with the President.
I need to focus on the positive, though, and there is so much. I had so many amazing things happen today. I couldn’t walk through Camp Casey or the Crawford Peace House today without hugging people and getting my picture taken. Now I know how Mickey Mouse feels at Disneyland. I had a soldier from Ft. Hood come out today and he brought me a small stone with a First Cavalry insignia painted on it and the pictures of three of his beautiful buddies who were murdered there by George’s reckless policies. It was such an incredible moment for me when he said: “Keep on doing what you are doing. We are so proud of you. Casey would be so proud of you.”
And she faults the President for going on a bike ride.
George Bush took a 2 hour bike ride on Saturday, and when he got back, he was asked how he could go for a two hour bike ride when he doesn’t have time to meet with me, and he said: “I have to go on with my life.” (Austin Statesman, August 14) WHAT!!!!!????? He has to get on with his life!!! I am so offended by that statement. Every person, war fan, or not, who has had a child killed in this mistake of an occupation should be highly offended by that remark. Who does he think he is? I wish I could EVER be able to get on with my life. Getting on with my life means a life without my dear, sweet boy. Getting on with my life means learning to live with a pain that is so intense that sometimes I feel like throwing up, or screaming until I pass out from sorrow. I wish a little bike ride could help me get on with my life.
Why is the MSM and Huffington bothering to cover this Crackpot?
The President will not meet with her because he already has. Bush has acknowleged her point of view and rejects it. There is no need to replay the Presidential election of 2004. George Bush was re-elected by the voters of the United States.
Cindy Sheehan needs to go home and moveon.
And the next person that calls out her name in Crawford may be a process server. Her husband has filed for divorce after twenty-eight years of marriage.
The next well-wisher approaching Cindy Sheehan at her tent encampment outside President George W. Bush’s Texas vacation home may actually be a process server. That’s because the California woman’s husband–in a curious bit of timing–filed for divorce Friday afternoon (below you’ll find a copy of Patrick Sheehan’s complaint, lodged August 12 in Solano County District Court). With Sheehan, 48, entering a second week outside Bush’s Crawford retreat, her husband’s divorce petition cites “irreconcilable differences” for the demise of the couple’s 28-year marriage (the Sheehans, the document states, have been separated since June 1). Along with a Vacaville home, Patrick Sheehan listed other “community assets” as “any and all benefits payable as a result of son’s death,” including a Prudential insurance policy and “benefits from the U.S. Government.”
Still like Disneyland, Cindy?

Howard Dean Watch: Women In Iraq Worse Off
Howard Dean has made yet another gaffe.
As if his previous gaffes were not bad enough:
Howard Dean: “Right Wing†Supreme Court
Howard Dean: Condemns Anti-Semitic Literature
Howard Dean: GOP A White Christian Party
Howard Dean: An Honest Living – Edwards Now Agrees
Howard Dean: America Safer When Democrats are in White House
Yesterday on CBS’s Face the Nation he is quoted as saying, “”It looks like today, and this could change, as of today it looks like women will be worse off in Iraq than they were when Saddam Hussein was president of Iraq.”
The transcript of the program is here.
In a brief statement yesterday, the Republican National Committee said, “Dean’s wild assertion that Iraqi women would be better off living under Saddam Hussein than democracy is not only counterproductive to meaningful debate, it demeans the hard work of American servicemen and women serving in Iraq.”
Howard Dean is a MORON.
His statement on Face the Nation is ludicrous.
How the Democrats can keep him as their Party Chairman is a wonder.
