Welcome Hugh Hewitt Readers!

irannukefeb27web7nd Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad United States and Russia Should Give up Their Nuclear WeaponsIranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad listens to questions by journalists during a press conference at Bayan Palace, Bayan, Kuwait City on Monday, Feb. 27, 2006. Ahmadinejad arrived Monday for a brief visit to this small oil-rich ally of Washington, the same day Egypt’s president was scheduled to visit.

ASSociated Press: Iran Leader: U.S. Should Give Up Nukes

Iran’s president said Monday that his country supports calls for making the Middle East a nuclear arms-free zone, but he also urged the United States and Russia to give up all their atomic weapons as a threat to the region’s stability.

“We believe that these weapons, possessed by the superpowers and the occupiers in our area, are a threat to stability,” Ahmadinejad said.

Yeah, right…..so other countries can be blackmailed by this NUTTER?

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad did not mention an agreement in principle reached Sunday by Iran and Russia to move Iran’s uranium enrichment work to Russian soil, which would allow closer international monitoring of Tehran’s suspect nuclear program.

Of course, he didn’t mention it — because he does NOT care. The Russian negotiations are a sham in order for Iran to curry favor with the international community of nations. Iran has NO plans to have Russia do its enrichment.

Stay tuned……

HH has another edition in the Rob Reiner rip-off of California taxpayer money. It is obvious that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will NOT FIRE Reiner from First 5 California Children and Families Commission.

And Reiner is OUT due to term limits in 2007 in any event……..

Isn’t the real issue the failure of Schwarzenegger to lead? or even REACT?

San Jose Mercury News: Teachers union president slams Schwarzenegger over `core values’

Barbara Kerr, president of the 335,000-member California Teachers Association, got a lot of laughs at Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s expense Saturday.

``This governor talks, then he changes his mind, then he talks, then he changes,” said Kerr, addressing 400 educators at the union’s Urban Issues Conference at the San Jose Marriott. “He has no core values whatsoever.”

Gee……Kerr sounds like Arnie Steinberg………….

irannukefeb26aweb4vn Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran and Russia Have Reached a BASIC Agreement on Uranium EnrichmentIranian Vice President Gholamreza Aghazadeh, who is head of Iran ‘s Atomic Energy Organization, attends a joint news conference with the head of Russia’s atomic energy agency, Sergei Kiriyenko, at the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran, Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006. Iran’s nuclear chief said Sunday that Tehran had agreed in principle on Moscow’s offer to host Iran’s uranium enrichment program, Russian news reports said. Gholamreza Aghazadeh, who heads the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said he and Russian nuclear chief Sergei Kiriyenko ‘agreed in principle on the Russian offer, but details still need to be worked out,’ the ITAR-Tass news agency reported.

Reuters: Iran says it has basic atomic agreement with Russia

Iran has reached a “basic” agreement with Russia on a joint venture to enrich uranium and will contine talks in coming days, Iran’s nuclear chief Gholamreza Aghazadeh said on Sunday.

It was unclear what this basic agreement involved. The original Russian proposal had been for Iran’s uranium to be enriched in Russia, allaying Western fears that the atomic fuel could be diverted into a weapons program.

However, Iran has always insisted upon its right to enrich its own uranium on its own soil and it is unclear how the original Russian proposal could be tailored to please Tehran.

“Regarding this joint venture, we have reached a basic agreement. Talks to complete this package will continue in coming days in Russia,” Aghazadeh told reporters in the southern Iranian port of Bushehr.

He said there were still obstacles to a full agreement.

YAWN……….

The devil will be in the details and Flap handicaps more than a 50% chance Iran walks away from the talks.

It appears that Iran is in a short-term stalling game now. Why?

Are they close to announcing they already posses one or two nuclear bombs? Or are they 98% there?

Stay tuned……

irannukefeb26bweb3uz Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran and Russia Have Reached a BASIC Agreement on Uranium EnrichmentAn unidentified Russian technician rides his bicycle in front of the main reactor of the nuclear power plant in Bushehr, Iran , Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006. Iran and Russia have agreed in principle to establish a joint uranium enrichment venture, a breakthrough in a proposal that it is hoped will appease global concerns that Iran wants to build nuclear weapons. But it is still not known whether Iran will entirely give up enrichment on its own soil, a top demand of the West.
