ASSociated Press: In Tape, Al-Zawahri Blasts Cartoons

Al-Qaida’s No. 2 leader Ayman al-Zawahri criticized the West for its insult to Islam’s prophet, complaining in a video broadcast Sunday on Al-Jazeera that the Prophet Mohammed and Jesus “are not sacred anymore.”

Referring to the cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad that have been printed in a number of European newspapers, al-Zawahri said: “They did it on purpose and they continue to do it without apologizing, even though no one dares to harm Jews or to challenge Jewish claims about the Holocaust nor even to insult homosexuals.”

Oh, so, now al-Zawahri, terrorist and mass murderer extraordinaire is a holy man worried about sacred portrayals of the Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ?

And then he goes on to compaining about folks NOT insulting or challenging the Jews, the` Holocaust and homosexuals.

What a hypocritical MORON!

The Quotes:

“The insults against Prophet Muhammad are not the result of freedom of opinion but because what is sacred has changed in this culture,” he said. “The Prophet Mohammed, prayers be upon him, and Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, are not sacred anymore, while Semites and the Holocaust and homosexuality have become sacred.”

“In the eyes of the West, they have the right to occupy our land, rob our wealth and then insult us and our religion, and humiliate our Quran and our prophet, prayers be upon him,” al-Zawahri said. “After that they give us lessons in freedom, justice and human rights.”

Yeah RIGHT!

And the United States hijacks airliners to destroy the New York World Trade Towers, sponsor suicide bombers who kill innocents and establish terrorist camps to poison thousands?

NOPE……..

And al-Zawahri you DO NEED a lesson in freedom, justice and human rights because you practice or espouse NONE of these inalienable rights.

A worthless speech by human Al-Qaeda garbage……

Stay tuned…..

San Francisco Chronicle: Governor forfeits extreme fights

Schwarzenegger ducks ‘gladiator’ controversy

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger canceled his plans Friday to lend his star power to a controversial card of “gladiator” style bouts, acting quickly to end a day of controversy that had complicated his negotiations with legislative Democrats over his huge public-works financing proposal.

The governor decided not to attend a card of mixed martial arts matches just hours before the event was to begin Friday night at the Nationwide Arena before a nationwide pay-per-view TV audience.

The promoters for the fights had touted the governor’s appearance for months at the mixed martial arts event, which was the opening highlight of the Arnold Fitness Expo and Arnold Classic, a sports festival that is expected to draw 120,000 people by the time it ends Sunday.

So, Arnold wants to avoid controversy. But, the folks in Ohio wanted to see him at the extreme fight event. And Californians want to know why he is in Ohio and not doing the state’s business?

The governor signed a law in September legalizing mixed martial arts bouts in California after a series of rules changes that organizers say have made the fights less brutal. Such bouts still are illegal in all but a handful of states.

Schwarzenegger flew to Columbus on Friday after attending the funeral in San Bernardino of California Highway Patrol officer Gregory Bailey, who was killed by a suspected drunken driver last Saturday. He attended the finals of three of the Arnold Classic’s women’s body building and fitness competitions — Ms. International, Fitness International and Figure International — but skipped his scheduled appearance at the final mixed martial arts bouts, where he was to present a lifetime-achievement award to former heavyweight boxing champion Joe Frazier. Instead, Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman, booed by the crowd expecting Schwarzenegger, gave Frazier the award.

The governor, in an interview late Friday night at his hotel, said he knew his schedule included an award presentation to Frazier, but learned from The Chronicle story that the appearance was at the mixed martial art event.

“I’m not against it,” Schwarzenegger said of the mixed martial arts competition. “(But) I knew nothing about it (in advance).”

Well, now he says he knew nothing about the event…….

GOOD GRIEF!

How NOT to run a campaign………

Stay tuned……

irannukemar4web7jc Iran Nuclear Watch: Condoleezza Rice United Nations Security Council Sanctions UNLIKELYRussian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov speaks during an interview with a small group of reporters in Moscow, Friday, March 3, 2006. Russia warned Friday that global powers have not agreed what to do if Iran’s nuclear program is referred to the United Nations Security Council.

Reuters: Sanctions unlikely first step on Iran: Rice

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Saturday said the UN Security Council was unlikely to impose sanctions on Iran as a first step in dealing with the disagreement over its nuclear program.

“I would expect that you would need at least something that tries to give the IAEA the weight of the security council in order to get Iran to do something. But I do not think people are talking about going directly to sanctions,” Rice told reporters traveling with President George W. Bush in Pakistan.

Condi is attempting a diplomatic spin to the truth: The United Nations Security Council does not have the WILL and WILL DO NOTHING to stop Iran’s nuclear program. If these fools in the U. N. Security Council ever could decide something, China will use its VETO authority.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Condoleezza Rice United Nations Security Council Sanctions UNLIKELY

So, what does the United States and its Western allies want:

1. Immediately suspend the nuclear activities that they have restarted, namely uranium enrichment (whose products could be diverted to make nuclear weapons)

2. Develop a civil nuclear program would NOT involve enrichment and reprocessing on Iranian territory.

The ball continues in the Iranian Mullah’s court as the United States and Israel weigh their options for a possible military solution.
