Global War on Terror Watch: House Resolution 895 Passes 227-183Posted by Flap in Global War on Terror, Media, Media Bias
House of Representatives: H. Res. 895: supporting intelligence and law enforcement programs to track terrorists and terrorist finances conducted consistent with Federal law and with appropriate Congressional consultation and specifically condemning the disclosure and publication of classified information that impairs the international fight against terrorism and needlessly exposes Americans to the threat of further terror attacks by revealing a crucial method by which terrorists are traced through their finances. The roll call is here: (Roll no. 357). The resolution is real “WEAK SAUCE” and does not NAME NAMES but it clearly defines the partisan divide between the GOP and Democrats. Flap listened to the debate and it was weak too, especially the GOP who let Barney Frank, D-MA make too many unanswered points. Perhaps some in the GOP do NOT wish to offend the New York Times and prefer to be invited to the “TRENDY” media parties and to be interviewed by the New York and Los Angeles Times editorial boards. Hugh Hewitt is RIGHT to be outraged. On H. Res. 895 the GOP WIMPED OUT.
