Al Qaeda Watch: Californian Adam Gadahn Reveals Role as Al Qaeda Leader
ABC News: California Man Revealed as al Qaeda Leader
For the first time, a former Orange County, Calif. teenage rock music fan has revealed his role as a top al Qaeda leader.
Adam Gadahn, who disappeared from California seven years ago, appeared unmasked on an al Qaeda tape made public on the internet today.
As previously reported by ABC News, the FBI had concluded that the masked man was Gadahn based on voice analysis of previous al Qaeda tapes. On today’s tape, Gadahn is bearded, wearing a turban.
Remember this scum terrorist from last year?
Last year he was Azzam the American
Michelle Malkin has the rundown on this Al Qaeda loser here.
LA City Beat has a profile and some wrong conclusions.
On today’s tape:
He denounces U.S. soldiers in Iraq and their alleged murder and rapes of Iraqi citizens.
“Who are the real terrorists?” Gadahn asks.
When referring to the alleged atrocities committed by U.S. Marines in Iraq, Gadahn also says, “It’s hard to imagine that any compassionate person could see pictures…and not want to go on a shooting spree at the Marines’ housing facilities at Camp Pendleton.”
Camp Pendleton is located just south of where Gadahn grew up in California.
There was no immediate response from Gadahn’s family, which still lives in California. They had previously denied he was the masked figure on al Qaeda tapes.
Allah has the video here.
If there was ever someone who deserved to be in Gitmo, it is Adam Pearlman – Adam Gadahn.
Blogosphere:
Dan Riehl has excerpts from Gadahn’s statement, made when he was at USC, on “Becoming Muslim.â€

Iran Nuclear Watch: Ahmadinejad Warns of Islmaic “Explosion”
Iranian protestors burn a representation of an Israeli flag in an anti-Israeli rally at the Felestin (Palestine) Sq. in Tehran, Iran, Friday, July 7, 2006. Iran’s hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned on Friday that continued Israeli strikes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip could lead to an ‘explosion’ in the Islamic world that would target Israel and its supporters in the West.
AP:Ahmadinejad warns of Islamic ‘explosion’
Iran’s hard-line president warned Friday that continued Israeli strikes against Palestinians could lead to an Islamic “explosion” targeting Israel and its Western supporters.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told thousands of demonstrators gathered in the capital, Tehran, to condemn the strikes in the Gaza Strip that Israel’s supporters could be the target of revenge by Muslims.
“They should not let things reach a point where an explosion occurs in the Islamic world,” he said. “If an explosion occurs, then it won’t be limited to geographical boundaries. It will also burn all those who created (Israel) over the past 60 years,” he said.
Ahmadinejad once again questioned Israel’s right to exist.
“This is a fake regime … it won’t be able to survive. I think the only way (forward) is that those who created it (the West) take it away themselves,” the president said.
Ahmadinejad, who last year called for Israel to be “wiped off the map,” has repeatedly voiced fiery rhetoric against the Jewish state.
Iran supports — and has varying degrees of influence on — Islamic militant groups in the region including Hamas, Hezbollah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Bluster and bloviation from Ahmadinejad. But what else is new?
Iran hates Israel and has been sponsoring terrorists in Palestine for decades while trying to drive Israel out.
But……Israel has NUKES and Iran does not – a big difference. Ahmadinejad can shoot off his mouth but not a nuclear arsenal.
Stay tuned…..

North Korea Watch: Japan Proposes United Nations Sanctions on North Korea
U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton (L) listens to Japanese Ambassador to the U.N. Kenzo Oshima after a meeting of the U.N. Security Council at the United Nations in New York, July 5, 2006.
AP: Japan proposes sanctions on N. Korea
Japan introduced a draft Security Council resolution Friday that would sanction North Korea for test-launching a series of missiles, despite Chinese and Russian fears of inflaming tensions with the isolated communist nation.
China’s U.N. Ambassador Wang Guangya said if the draft is put to a vote, the council would not send a united message to the North that its missile tests are unacceptable. Yet he did not say whether China would abstain or use its veto power to sink the resolution.
The draft — which has the support of the United States, Britain and France — is tougher than previous versions. It adds language saying that no nation will procure missiles or missile related “items, materials goods and technology” from North Korea, or transfer financial resources connected to the North’s program.
Also included is earlier language ordering countries to “take those steps necessary” to keep the North from acquiring items that could be used for its missile program. Diplomats said it could be put to a vote Saturday.
With the resolution formally introduced, the council can vote on it after 24 hours, but U.S. Ambassador John Bolton said that did not necessarily mean a vote would take place Saturday.
A U.S. official said diplomats might hold off voting until next week to allow more time for diplomacy to work. In particular, they want to see if China, the North’s main ally, can find a solution.
The other permanet UNSC members are allowing China and Russia a way out of insulting Kim Jong-Il. But, neither Russia nor China desire a militarized Japan which is what North Korea will achieve if it persists in its missile campaign of nuclear blackmail.
Fox News is now reporting that any UNSC sanctions will be viewed as “An Act of War.”
Diplomacy is useless and slow. Russia and China have an interest in keeping North Korea as an irritant that drains America’s time and resources which could be directed towards other foreign interests.
Deterrence is what North Korea requires.
Nothing less.
Tell Kim Jong-Il the next time there is a missile launch there will be a military cost.
Stay tuned……

Senator Joe Biden Watch: Biden Defends Remarks
AP: POLITICAL NOTEBOOK: Biden Defends Remarks
Facing criticism, potential 2008 presidential candidate Joe Biden on Friday defended his recent remark that “you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.”
The Delaware senator said his words were taken out of context.
On a recent edition of the C-SPAN series “Road to the White House,” Biden is shown in New Hampshire boasting about his support among Indian-Americans.
“I’ve had a great relationship. In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking,” the senator said.
The clip made its way through cyberspace this week and caught fire in Washington, where Biden is known as one of the more long-winded senators.
Visiting troops and officials in Iraq this week, Biden was asked about the comment during an interview with CNN’s “The Situation Room.”
The senator said he has had an “incredibly strong” relationship with the Indian-American community in Delaware and that his comment was misinterpreted.
“I was making the point that up until now in my state, we’ve had a strong Indian community made up of leading scientists and researchers and engineers,” Biden said. Lately, he said: “We’re having middle- class people move to Delaware, take over Dunkin’ Donuts, take over businesses, just like other immigrant groups have, and I was saying that … they’re growing, it’s moving.”
“I could have said that 40 years ago about walking into a delicatessen and saying an Italian accent in my state,” Biden added.
Flap agrees with Michelle Malkin who says that a big deal should not be made of this quip.
But, Flap bets that if this had been George Allen, the Left and MSM would have been all over his non-PC hide.
The Indian-American community sees Biden’s remark differently.
“No he is not joking,” says Congressional candidate Raj Bhakta, who is seeking a seat from Pennsylvania on the Republican ticket.
The candidate, famous for his well-received appearance on the Donald Trump show The Apprentice, said in a statement emailed to rediff.com: ‘These are ridiculous, callous and insensitive comments, which would simply be laughable if they were not coming from a Democratic presidential candidate. You would never know from listening to Biden that Indian Americans have contributed to this country other than making a mean cup of coffee.’
Speaking on the nationally-syndicated Hugh Hewitt radio show, Bhakta pointed out that Indian Americans are among the leading practitioners in medicine, law, corporates and small businesses.
‘And pretty soon, Senator Biden will be really shocked that there will be another Indian-American in Congress,’ Bhakta said, adding, ‘I will be sure to stop by his office when I get there. I would not be bringing coffee.’
Also quick off the blocks to condemn the incident was Dr Raghavendra Vijayanagar, a leading Republican fund-raiser and president of the Indian American Republican Council, who in a statement, said Biden has a history of making such insensitive statements.
Vijayanagar took it up a notch, suggesting that Democrats as a party are prone to belittle the Indian American community. In this context, he said, ‘In 2004, Senator John Kerry referred to Sikhs as terrorists, and Senator Hillary Clinton jokingly referred to Mahatma Gandhi as a gas station owner.’
The more serious concern over Biden’s presidential ambitions is his history of a lack of honesy with plagiarism. This alone is a disqualifier from being the leader of the free world.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Watch: Angelides Strategist Compares California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to North Korea’s Kim Jong-Il
Drudge Report Flash:Dem Compares Schwarzenegger To Kim Jong-Il
Will missiles soon be flying in the California governor’s race?
Bob Mulholland, senior advisor to Democratic nominee Phil Angelides, aims for controversy this morning, saying: “With North Korea leader Kim Jong-Il back in the news, it reminds me that he and Schwarzenegger have something in common. Both have their shoes specifically made to add a couple inches of lift. What we don’t know is does Kim Jong-Il have his shoes made by Schwarzenegger’s shoemaker in Italy.”
Hillary is hosting a fundraiser for Angelides today in San Francisco.
In 2003, Mulholland warned Arnold Schwarzenegger that “real bullets” will be coming his way during his campaign to be governor.
“Schwarzenegger is going to find out, that unlike a Hollywood movie set, the bullets coming at him in this campaign are going to be real bullets and he is going to have to respond to them,” warned Mulholland.
Well, Arnold is sitting pretty high in the California polls that show Phil Angelides trailing the California governor by 7 points. Bob Mulholland, a California Democrat Party activist, is an Angelides political strategist.
Mulholland is getting his ASS handed to him in this race so why not toss out moronic comments. After all, Bob Mulholland is a MORON.
From the Schwarzenegger campaign:Statement By Californians For Schwarzenegger Communications Director Katie Levinson Regarding Angelides Campaign Comments On North Korea
“Today’s comments on North Korea by Phil Angelides’ campaign are further evidence he is not ready to lead the state of California. Whether it’s a $10 billion tax hike, a mystery budget proposal with no numbers, or his failure to support Jessica’s Law, it is clear Phil Angelides’ policies will take the state backwards.“
Is this Bob Mulholland’s ASS BACKWARDS?

California Election 2006 Watch: California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Lead Grows in Polls
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger pictured here in June 2006 in Antioch, California. Schwarzenegger extended his lead over his Democratic challenger in November state elections in the latest opinion poll.
AFP: Schwarzenegger’s lead grows ahead of November vote
California’s Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger extended his lead over his Democratic challenger in November state elections in the latest opinion poll.
The former movie star moved further ahead of State Treasurer Phil Angelides — who won the Democratic nomination for governor in March — with a 44 percent to 37 percent lead in the Survey and Policy Research Institute’s June 26-30 poll.
That was up from a 40 percent to 37 percent margin in March. The survey attributed Schwarzenegger’s surge to his decision to send California national guard troops to the Mexican border in the fight against illegal immigrants, as well as the adoption of a compromise state budget.
The Governator will cruise to re-election. Why?
1. The California economy is good. The California coffers are flush with tax money and the structural budget deficit is being paid down.
2. The Governor was out in front of a need for California infrastructure improvements that are sadly and immediately needed.
3. The Democrats nominated a poor candidate against Schwarzenegger. California Treasurer Phil Angelides is too left wing, supports tax increases and looks like a GEEK on television.
The conservative wing of the GOP will make nice with Arnold for the Fall and help re-elect him. However, they will keep him honest to conservative ideals.
Unless Schwarzenegger makes a gaff, it will be smooth sailing for re-electing the Governor.
Stay tuned……

Senator Joe Lieberman Watch: The Debate – Lieberman – Lamont is a “SINGLE ISSUE” Candidate
U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) (R) and challenger Ned Lamont shake hands before their debate in Hartford, Connecticut July 6, 2006.
Washington Post: In Conn., Lieberman Defends Seat, War StanceShunned by many in his own party because of his vigorous support for the war in Iraq, Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman clashed in a debate Thursday with a well-financed challenger who has roiled Connecticut politics and turned the Democratic primary into a national test of the antiwar movement.
In a hard-hitting 30-minute exchange about the war, Lieberman sought to portray his opponent, Ned Lamont, as a fringe candidate with little grasp of the military and geopolitical stakes in Iraq. Lamont assailed the incumbent for ignoring reports of rising violence and instability, and for cheering on President Bush “when he should have been asking the tough questions.”
Lieberman defended the conflict as “a lot better, different” than a year ago. “They’re on the way to building a free and independent Iraq,” he asserted. “The question is, are we going to abandon them while they are making that progress?”
The trasncript of the thirty minute debate is here.
This was the only debate and so now it is on to the ad wars.
Will Lamont successfully portray Lieberman as a puppet of the GOP and Bush Administration?
Perhaps
Will the well self-funded but inexperienced businessman be able to beat Lieberman in the Democrat primary election in August?
Perhaps – if the moderate Democrat turn-out is low.
Lamont has relentlessly hammered Lieberman as a rubber stamp for the president’s war policies. One well-circulated image of the Lamont campaign, featured on buttons and in a television ad, shows Bush embracing Lieberman after the 2005 State of the Union address and appearing to kiss him on the cheek.
Lieberman used his opening remarks in Thursday’s hour-long debate to complain that Lamont “seems to be running against me based on my stand on one issue, Iraq, and he is distorting who I am and what I have done.”
“Let me tell you some things that may surprise at least Ned but shouldn’t,” he added. “I know George Bush. I’ve worked against George Bush. I’ve even run against George Bush, but I’m not George Bush.”
Lamont and his Bush Derangement Syndrome Kossaks form the Left blogosphere will overplay their hand and deliver a victory to Lieberman while creating much angst within the Democrat Party. Democrat Party resources will be spent for Lamont while Lieberman, running as an independent captures all of the PAC funds along with covert help from the GOP.
Lieberman WILL win (as an Independent) but how much damage Lamont does to the national Democrat Party is only beginning.
Stay tuned……

Iran Nuclear Watch: EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana – Iran Talks off to “Good Start”
Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani (L) is welcomed by European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana ahead of a meeting in Brussels July 6, 2006.
Reuters: EU hails “good start” to Iran nuclear talks
The European Union said talks with Iran late on Thursday on a package of incentives to end a nuclear standoff were constructive and laid the basis for a fuller response by Tehran at a second meeting due next week.
“It’s a good start for what we expect will be a positive meeting on July 11,” Cristina Gallach, spokeswoman for EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said of his two-hour meeting with Iran chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani.
“We expect on Tuesday that they will be able to give us a substantial response,” she said by telephone on Friday of a long-awaited reply to a package of technology, trade and other incentives for Iran to halt uranium enrichment.
Asked whether the EU was confident Iran would comply with Western demands for a full answer by a summit of Group of Eight industrial powers in St Petersburg on July 15, she said:
“We want to create the conditions for the start of negotiations as soon as possible … I have always said we are not using the word ‘deadlines’,” she said, adding the summit and an earlier meeting of major power foreign ministers on July 12 were nonetheless key dates.
After several days of dancing and stalling Iran finally comes to the negotiating table to confront the July 12 deadline set by the P-5-Plus-1 group of nations. Last night’s dinner meeting was only for two hours so what kind of “good start” is beyond Flap.
Iran will give NO answer next week or will simply cancel the meeting for whatever reason it desires. The North Korea missile crisis may give Iran the cover it needs to stall a definitive NO for months.
In the meantime, the centrifuges are spinning at the uranium enrichment nuclear facility at Natanz.
Solana is due to host Larijani for a second round of talks in Brussels on July 11 with the countries behind the offer, the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany, also to be present at the meeting.
Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, told reporters before meeting Solana he would give a preliminary response next week.
“We are serious about continuing negotiations and will start next Tuesday with talks,” he told reporters.
A U.S. official later told State Department reporters in an email that Larijani had not responded to the proposal during his first meeting with Solana.
Flap handicaps that Larijana will either cancel the meeting due to Israel/Palestine or North Korea flaps or will bring objections to the talk’s format and attempt to negotiate the negotiations. Iran will give no answer at the July 11th meeting.
But, everyone knows what Iran’s answer is. Iran will NOT halt uranium enrichment under ANY circumstances.

Joe Biden Watch: Indian-American Slur Sinks Slow Joe
The News Journal: Biden’s quip on Indian accents drawing scrutiny
They say the main thing standing between Joe Biden and the White House is Joe Biden’s mouth.
The would-be presidential candidate proved it again on a recent trip to New Hampshire, where C-Span cameras caught him telling an Indian-American activist that Indian-Americans are the fastest-growing immigrant group in Delaware.
In fact, Biden said, “You cannot go into a Dunkin Donuts or a 7-Eleven unless you have a slight Indian accent.â€
Slow Joe Plagiarising Biden just announced his candidacy for President and he is already putting his foot in his mouth.
Hillary is probably laughing her ass off (and that is alot)!
The video of this MORON is here.
