Al Qaeda Watch: Adam Yehiye Gadahn – “Join the Winning Side†Before it is Too Late – MEMRI Cut
LGF: Adam Gadahn, the MEMRI Cut
I’ve heard more than one blow-dried commentator say that American Al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn (who converted to Islam in Orange County, California) is “ignorant of Islam.†Here’s an 11-minute selection of clips with a lot of material not seen in the little video bites on mainstream media, that seems to indicate he’s not ignorant at all.
A transcript is here.
Flap agrees. Gadahn is deadly serious.

Iran Watch: Iran President Ahmadinejad Coming to United Nations Wants to Debate President Bush
Drudge: Ahmadinejad to Cuba, New York
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is to attend the summit of Non-Aligned Movement countries in the Cuban capital Havana in mid-September, an official said Wednesday.
“The president will take part in the summit of Non-Aligned countries in Havana,” said the official from the president’s office, who asked not to be named.
The summit of the 116-nation grouping is to take place between September 11-16, and Ahmadinejad is also expected to attend the UN General Assembly in New York that starts on September 12, the official said.
MORE
Ahmadinejad said in Tehran Wednesday that his attendance of the UN General Assembly would be a “suitable opportunity” to challenge Bush in a television debate.
“My forthcoming visit to New York for the UN General Assembly would be a suitable opportunity to hold the debate and all world people, especially the Americans, could hear and watch it without censorship,” the news agency ISNA quoted the Iranian president as saying in a cabinet session.
Developing…
Flap made reference to this “UNHINGED” NUTTY idea of a televised debate here.
And Flap asks again: What is there to debate?
Iran is playing the Western media cycle to develop further an Iranian regional hegemony in the Middle East. Ahmadinejad wants to show Kuwait and Saudi Arabia that he has faced up to the United States and humbled/defeated America. He debated and beat the Great Infidel Bush.
Flap wonders what kind of protests might be organized against the Mullahocracy by dissident Iranians?
And Castro? Who cares the old man does not have long to live and Hugo Chavez is a lefty
bananaoil republic dictator with Cooties from Cindy Sheehan who can be easily changed at the drop of aknifehat.Maybe Khatami will over stay his visa and can show Mahmoud around? How about the Statue of Liberty, boys?

Global War on Terror Watch: Talibanistan: The Establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Waziristan
The Fourth Rail: Talibanistan: The Establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Waziristan
Pakistan’s “truce with the Taliban is an abject surrender, and al-Qaeda has an untouchable base of operations in Western Pakistan which will only expand if not checked
The news of the Pakistani government signing a truce agreement with the Taliban in North Waziristan is far worse than being reported. We raised the alarm early morning on September 4, and newly uncovered information on the terms of the agreement indicate Pakistan has been roundly defeated by the Taliban in North Waziristan. The “truce†is in fact a surrender.
Read it all.
To add insult to the defeat of the Waziristan truce, Pakistan has openly admitted that it would let Osama bin Laden remain a free man if committed to living a peaceful existance in the region. “If he is in Pakistan, bin Laden ‘would not be taken into custody,’ Major General Shaukat Sultan Khan told ABC News in a telephone interview, ‘as long as one is being like a peaceful citizen,†reports ABC News’ The Blotter. An independent intelligence source confirms Maj. Gen. Shaukat Sultan Khan’s position is an accurate reflection of Pakistani policy. [Note: Pakistan has since retracted its statements on bin Laden and immunity, but the Blotter transcript of teh interview refutes this.]
The Pakistani government has ceded a region the size of New Jersey, with a population of about 800,000 to the Taliban and al-Qaeda. The establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Waziristan is not the end of the Taliban’s expansion, however. An intelligence source indicates similar negotiations between the Taliban and the Pakistani government are being held in the agencies of Khyber, Tank, Dera Ishmal Khan and Bajaur. The jihadi dreams of al-Qaeda’s safe havens in western Pakistan have become a reality. And the gains made by the Coalition in Afghanistan have now officially been wiped away with the peace agreement in the newly established Islamic Emirate of Waziristan.
American and Coalition forces will have to re-double their efforts to route the Taliban. Al Qaeda safe havens cannot be allowed to grow and fester – even if it means extreme pressure on the Pakistani government.

Iran Watch: United States and Israel Ordered 9/11 Attacks
Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi, the chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, left, and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, right, review an honor guard, at a base of the Basij paramilitary, in Tehran, Iran, in this Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, photo.
Iran Focus: Iran says U.S., Israel ordered September 11 attacks
The Supreme Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps accused the Bush Administration and the Israeli security service Mossad of ordering the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York and Washington, DC.
“The events of September 11 were ordered by U.S. [officials] and Mossad so that they could carry out their strategy of pre-emption and warmongering and unipolarisation in order to dominate the Middle Eastâ€, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi told military commanders on Tuesday. His comments were reported by the state-run news agency ISNA.
Safavi sounds like the LEFTY SEPTEMBER 11 CONSPIRACY NUTTERS.
But, what is Iran and the Mullahs REALLY saying?
General Safavi said that Iran was the leading force of the “Islamic worldâ€. “The geographic heart of the Islamic world is in Mecca and Medina. But, the political heart of the Islamic world is in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Supreme Leader [Ayatollah Ali Khamenei] is the flag-bearer of the front of Islamic awakening and the fronts of the awakening of third world nationsâ€, he said.
He said that Washington had been defeated in its strategy of “attacking Iraq, Afghanistan, and Lebanon†and creating a new order in the Middle East.
Iran views itself as the REGIONAL HEGEMON of the Middle East. Iran has won and the United States and Israel have been defeated.
Destabilization of American opinion and propaganda are the nature of Iran’s war against the United States and Israel. This is one part.
Khatami’s visit to the United States is another.
Manipulate the Western Media Cycle and make outlandish media claims like September 11 Conspiracy theories to undermine public support for the United States government is all part of the game of media warfare.
And one asks why the American State Department allowed the Iranian propaganda machine into the United States? If one says weakness.
They would be correct.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran Abruptly Postpones Meeting With EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana
European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana (L) and Iran’s top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani (R) arrive for a press conference in EU Headquarters in Brussels, July 2006. EU-Iran talks to kickstart negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program and give it a chance to avoid UN sanctions have been postponed at the last minute, a senior Iranian official said.
AP: Iran abruptly postpones talks with EU
Iran abruptly announced Wednesday that last-ditch talks on its disputed nuclear program were postponed, moving Tehran a step closer to U.N. sanctions after it defied a deadline to freeze uranium enrichment.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, meanwhile, said any sanctions must exclude military force, suggesting that Moscow was contemplating the possibility of sanctions but remained opposed to harsh and quick punishment.
The talks between Iranian nuclear envoy Ali Larijani and European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana had been tentatively set for Wednesday in Vienna as a final attempt to see if common ground could be found to start negotiations between Iran and the six nations that have been trying to persuade Iran to limit its nuclear program.
But while Solana had been ready to fly to the Austrian capital at short notice, the talks had been left hanging by uncertainty over whether Larijani would come.
“We will not have the meeting today in Vienna,” Ali Ashgar Soltanieh, the chief Iranian envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency, told The Associated Press. “Both sides are arranging (a meeting) for a couple of days later.”
Instead, Iran’s president proposed that he and President Bush hold a debate at the U.N. General Assembly later this month.
Another Iran-EU meeting
postponementstall and this is a surprise? But, Iran is running out of time. The United Nations Security Council will soon call up for discussion/sanctions Iran’s non-compliance with their demand to halt uranium enrichment. In the meantime, Iran President Ahmadinejad is becoming “UNHINGED” and demanding a televised debate with President Bush at the United Nations.
Debate what?
Flap thought Iran’s nuclear program was for the peaceful generation of electricity. Of course, if this were the case, Iran would have accepted the P-5-plus-1 proposal.
Iran’s and Ahmadinejad’s “UNHINGED” immature behavior is becoming embarassing and PATHETIC.
Stay tuned……

Sky News: Blair To Go ‘Next Summer’
Tony Blair will quit as Labour leader on May 31 next year and then resign as Prime Minister on July 26, according to The Sun newspaper.
The claim follows a day of speculation about when he will step down and demands from his loyalists for him to name a date to leave Downing Street.
The Sun has published what it says is his timetable for departure.
It reports that after he quits as party chief, Labour will then hold an eight-week election process to find a new leader.
The paper says he will go to the Queen on July 26 to say he is resigning as PM.
Tony Blair has been a stalwart friend of the United States. Flap wishes him well.
