274418415 ff299be1f9 o North Korea Watch: Kim Jong Il REGRETS Nuclear Test

North Korea’s top leader Kim Jong Il, right, shakes hands with Chinese special envoy Tang Jiaxuan during their meeting in Pyongyang, capital of North Korea, in this July 13, 2005, file photo. A Chinese envoy met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Il and delivered a message from Chinese President Hu Jintao, the Chinese foreign ministry said on Thursday October 19, 2006. Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said he had no details of the message conveyed by State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan, who flew to Pyongyang, the North Korean capital, on Wednesday.

AP: Report: N. Korean Leader Regrets Test

North Korean leader Kim Jong Il expressed regret about his country’s nuclear test to a Chinese delegation and said Pyongyang would return to international nuclear talks if Washington backs off a campaign to financially isolate the country, a South Korean newspaper reported Friday.

“If the U.S. makes a concession to some degree, we will also make a concession to some degree, whether it be bilateral talks or six-party talks,” Kim was quoted as telling a Chinese envoy, the mass- circulation Chosun Ilbo reported, citing a diplomatic source in China.

Kim told the Chinese delegation that “he is sorry about the nuclear test,” the newspaper reported.

Kim Jong-Il without a doubt is a MORON.

North Korea has agreed to United Nations Security Council Resolutions to end their nuclear program. They should do so now prior to any suspension of UNSC sanctions.

Also, Flap asks: How much of Kim’s change of heart will cost the American taxpayer?

It sounds to Flap that someone either China or North Korea or both were bought off.

Stay tuned……

274114168 4726bb1282 o Iran Nuclear Watch: Ahmadinejad Iran Will NOT Back Down An Inch

A defiant President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, seen here on October 11, has insisted that Iran will not back down “an inch” over its nuclear programme despite the growing threat of sanctions. Three European powers were putting finishing touches on a draft resolution on UN Security Council sanctions against Iran for its refusal to halt uranium enrichment.

AFP: Iran will not back down on nuclear plans: Ahmadinejad

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has reaffirmed in a live broadcast that the country will not back down even “an inch” from its nuclear programme, including enrichment of uranium.

“The enrichment of uranium and having nuclear fuel are among the main demands of Iranian nation,” he added Thursday.

And why NOT?

Iran Covets Nuclear Weapons

For what purpose?

TO WIPE ISRAEL OFF THE MAP

AFP: Israel cannot survive: Ahmadinejad

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called Israel a “counterfeit and illegitimate regime that cannot survive”, in a live broadcast on state television.

“The Zionist regime is counterfeit and illegitimate and cannot survive,” he said in a speech to a crowd in the town of Islamshahr in southwestern Tehran.

“The enrichment of uranium and having nuclear fuel are among the main demands of Iranian nation,” he added Thursday.

So, how long do you think Israel would last after Iran fabricates a nuclear weapon?

NOT LONG

Iran would at the least nuclear blackmail Israel into ordering the Jews to leave Palestine or face a nuclear holocaust.

Negotiations are OVER with Ahmadinejad and the Iranian Mullahs.

When the “POINT OF NO RETURN” is reached, military action against Iran by the United States and Israel will commence.

Stay tuned…….

electionprojectionoctober19me2 United States House 2006 Election Watch: Rush Limbaugh and the Coming GOP DEBACLE

Rush Limbaugh: I’m Not at War with Conservative Bloggers

RUSH: Now, I got a couple of e-mails I was checking here during the break from people who say, “Oh, no, Rush! Don’t get in a war with conservative bloggers. If the media rips you guys apart, it’s all over.” I am not at war with conservative bloggers. I quote countless posts from many blogs on this program. I use them as resources. I’m referring to one blog post, and I don’t even know who it is. This all got started when I cringed when I saw the use of the term “premortem” on a blog site called Insta-Pundit. It hurt me; it irritated me as much as when Tom Davis, congressman from Virginia, goes on Face the Nation and starts speculating to Bob Schieffer or whatever it was, and starts counting up the number of seats his party is going to lose.

Read it all here.

Flap thinks that Rush, Captain Ed, Hugh Hewitt and others need a dose of reality. William Rusher and Glenn Reynolds provided both last week. Let’s look at the numbers:

Election Projection 2006 has GOP LOSING control of the House.

Current: 232 GOP, 202 DEM, 1 IND
Projected: 213 GOP, 222 DEM, 0 IND
DEM +20, GOP -19, IND -1

Robert Novak has the GOP LOSING control of the House:

If the election were held today, Democrats would gain control of the House of Representatives. Republicans -20, Democrats +20

Real Clear Politics has the GOP LOSING control of the House:

On the House side the polling is a lot more suspect. A rough count of RCP’s updated House list looks like the Democrats would pickup some where in the neighborhood of 13 – 19 seats (they need 15 for control.) If the final three weeks of the election continue to go the same way the last fourteen days have gone for Republicans, that number could go a lot higher. But the odds would favor a pendulum swing back toward the GOP at least once in the next few weeks.

So, why does Rush have it wrong?

Conservatives and the American voters are tried of cheerleading/spin and demand results. Voters are NOT happy with President Bush and the GOP House/Senate Leadership have shown no propensity toward leadership. Instead of a NEW “Contract with America” voters get Mark Foley Gay Sex Scandals and Duke Cunningham graff convictions.

Rush would be better off outlining the inherent problems of why the polls reflect a loss for the GOP and how to correct the problems. If credibility is measured in the polls Rush and Hugh Hewitt would register zero. Voters want less hype and more RESULTS from their elected officials.

Where is the substance of the debate with the LEFT?

LACKING

The GOP may be able to out organize the Democrats and SAVE a few seats but at present it looks to Flap that the House and Senate will leave GOP control. And the blame will go to the new minority GOP party leaders and the White House.

Stay tuned…..

Update:

Glenn Reynolds, Instapundit, responds to Rush’s latest take on the FLAP with bloggers.
