Arnold Schwarzenegger Watch: Lack of Immigration Reform “CRAZY”
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger shakes hands with Mexican president-elect Felipe Calderon before a private meeting at his headquarters in Mexico City November 10, 2006.
Reuters: Lack of immigration reform “crazy”: Schwarzenegger
California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said on Friday the federal government was “crazy” to clamp down on border security without also passing a law to allow more foreign workers into the United States.
Schwarzenegger was one of few Republicans to do well in the midterm elections after distancing himself from President Bush and taking more moderate positions. He said a U.S. plan to build more fences on the Mexican border was only a limited solution to the illegal immigration problem.
“It is crazy for the federal government not to simultaneously … also create a law where we can bring more people into the country legally,” he said during a private meeting with Mexican President-elect Felipe Calderon.
California relies heavily on Mexican agricultural workers.
Governor Schwarzenegger has FLIPPED on the issue of illegal immigration every other month it seems.
First, he was with the Minutemen. Then, he was against a border wall. And he BLAMED the federal government for inaction.
Then, Governor: My vote for Prop. 187 was ‘wrong’
And…….now what?Well, Arnold is in Mexico and must play to the Mexican government – so blame the GOP members of Congress who just lost an election and conrol of Congress.
Good move Governor kick your own party when they are down.
Remember Governor you were heckled recently by voters who were fed up with your flipper policies on illegal immigration:
California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger puts his arm around a woman who confronted him during his campaign bus tour Tuesday, July 25, 2006, in La Mesa, Calif. The woman would only identify herself as Kelly.
The Governor will soon learn that playing to the audience is not his only role as governor. He has a budget to balance and infrastructure bonds to fund. Illegal aliens and their children consume vast California resources – more than what they pay in taxes.
Flap suggests the Governator get his ASS back to Sacramento and start dealing with the problems of Californians and stop pandering to the Mexicans.
Isn’t there enough work ahead of you in California , Arnold?
Stay tuned……..

Iran Nuclear Watch: Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh – Strike on Iran Possible
Russian Security Council head Igor Ivanov (front L) invites Iran ‘s chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani (front R) to talks as journalists watch in Moscow November 10, 2006. Iran will review relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) if the U.N. Security Council presses ahead with a European draft resolution imposing sanctions, Iran’s nuclear negotiator said.
AP: Israel official: Strike on Iran possible
The deputy defense minister suggested Friday that Israel might be forced to launch a military strike against Iran’s disputed nuclear program — the clearest statement yet of such a possibility from a high-ranking official.
“I am not advocating an Israeli pre-emptive military action against Iran and I am aware of its possible repercussions,” Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh, a former general, said in comments published Friday in The Jerusalem Post. “I consider it a last resort. But even the last resort is sometimes the only resort.”
Sneh’s comments did not necessarily reflect the view of Israel’s government or of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, said government spokeswoman Miri Eisin.
Olmert, who was arriving in Washington on Sunday, said he was confident in the U.S. handling of the international standoff over Iran’s nuclear program. The Bush administration and other nations say is a cover for developing atomic weapons, but Tehran says the program is peaceful.
“I have enormous respect for President Bush. He is absolutely committed,” Olmert said in an interview on NBC’s “Today” show. “I know that America will not allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons because this is a danger to the whole Western world.”
The “POINT OF NO RETURN” for Israel and the United States is drawing near. Negotiations are going nowhere in the United Nations Security Council regarding punitive sanctions.
A military operation is LIKELY.
Will the American public and Western World tolerate the short-term disruption of oil supplies?
The West will have to adjust.

Iraq War Watch: George McGovern to Meet with Congressional Progressive Caucus
AP: McGovern to Meet With Congress on War
George McGovern, the former senator and Democratic presidential candidate, said Thursday that he will meet with more than 60 members of Congress next week to recommend a strategy to remove U.S. troops from Iraq by June.
If Democrats don’t take steps to end the war in Iraq soon, they won’t be in power very long, McGovern told reporters before a speech at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
All the LEFTIE NUTTERS are coming out now.

Michael Ramirez on Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld’s Resignation
The Hill: GOP furious about timing of Rumsfeld resignation
President Bush is VERY SMALL doing this to Donald Rumsfeld as a direct result of election 2006. Where has the President been the past year?
If the President wishes to change Iraq War policy – change it.
But, don’t throw your friends overboard.
Flap predicts the President has accelerated his LAMEDUCK status with conservatives and will have little power to direct future GOP policy.
Put a fork in George W. Bush – HE’S DONE!

World Trade Organization Watch: Russia and United States To Announce WTO Deal?
A jeweller polishes a ring made for an Italian firm at the Krasnoyarsk nonferrous metals plant in Siberia, in a file photo. Russia has reached a bilateral trade deal with Washington to join the WTO, a major breakthrough after 13 years of tortuous negotiations, the head of the country’s business lobby said on Friday.
Reuters: Russia, U.S. to announce WTO deal soon
Russian and U.S. leaders are likely to agree soon a bilateral deal opening the way for Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organization, a top Kremlin official told Reuters on Friday.
“Talks have been going on nearly round the clock … I think completing the talks is fully realistic,” Arkady Dvorkovich, the head of the Kremlin’s economic staff, said in an interview.
Sources in the Russian capital said a formal announcement was planned for later on Friday.
News overnight that President George W. Bush plans a stopover in Moscow on his way to an Asian economic summit in Hanoi increased expectations that a WTO deal had been clinched. The Asian summit starts on November 18.
“The word in Moscow is that there is an agreement,” Deputy Economy Minister Andrei Sharonov. “We hope that the two presidents might finalize the negotiations in Vietnam early next week.”
Remember this photo at the G-8 Summit in July?
U.S. President George W. Bush, left, and Russian President Vladimir Putin hold a joint news conference at the G8 summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, Saturday, July 15, 2006.
So, what has changed since mid-July? Russia agrees to no longer pirate American films and music?
How about Russia making nice about Iranian sanctions and nuclear technology transfers to Ahmadinejad and the Iranian Mullahs?
Is this too much to ask of the Russians?
Who knows in the Bush State Department?
Stay tuned……
