Caledonian Record: Former Mayor Giuliani Chamber’s Guest Speaker
Rudy Giuliani, former mayor of New York City, will be wowing the town’s business community Friday night, Jan. 26, at the Mount Washington Hotel as the group’s guest speaker at its annual meeting.
Barbara Ashley, executive director of the Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce, said the chamber is thrilled with his attendance, and more than 300 tickets have been sold to date. There are still a limited number of tickets available.
Ashley said she worked for months to make this happen, as his schedule was uncertain. But Giuliani, who has announced an exploratory committee in his expected run for president on the Republican ticket, knows an early stop in the North Country of New Hampshire is a smart political move.
Giuliani is known as “America’s Mayor,” and will be in New Hampshire to stump for his presidential bid. The state’s first-in-the-nation primary makes it a critical early stop for candidates for the nation’s top spot. He will be in the state Jan. 26 and 27 in other locations as well, and final plans for his flight arrangements to the local airport in Whitefield are set, Ashley said.
Stay tuned for reports from New Hampshire……
