387516923 26fc50eec3 o Barack Obama Watch: Howard If He Ran Al Qaeda, He Would Put a Circle Around March Next Year and Pray for Senator Obama to Win

Australian Prime Minister John Howard hasdefended the size of Australia’s troop deployment in Iraq after a stinging rebuke from White House hopeful Barack Obama, calling Canberra’s contribution “appropriate”. Howard sparked the dispute on Sunday when he said that Obama’s plan to get US troops out of Iraq by March 31 next year would seal a US defeat and be welcomed as a victory by terrorists.

ABC News: PM stands by Obama attack

Prime Minister John Howard has defended his comments about United States presidential candidate Barack Obama’s proposed policies.

The spat erupted when Democrat Senator Obama said he would like US troops out of Iraq by March 2008.

Mr Howard responded by saying that if he ran Al Qaeda, he would put a circle around March next year and pray for Senator Obama to win.

The attack on Senator Obama’s plan has upset several US Democrats, including Senator Ron Wyden, who believes Mr Howard is meddling in US politics.

“The most charitable thing you can say about Mr Howard’s comment is it’s bizarre,” Senator Wyden said.

“You know, we’ll make our own judgements in this country with respect to elections and Barack Obama’s a terrific public servant.”

However, Mr Howard says the suggestion he is interfering in US politics is absurd.

Senator Wyden of Oregon is a WIMP and Barack is NOT READY for PRIME TIME.

Prime Minister Howard had every right to say what he did. It really is common sense.

And Hillary?

The silence is deafening.

Stay tuned…..

387459179 35b55bc9c3 o Giuliani Notes: The Clash Rudie Cant Fail

The New York Times is desperate to find something anything against America’s Mayor. They even have their news reporter travel over 3,000 miles across the United States to file unresearched crap in his political yet NYT company paid for blog.

Mark Kilmer over at RedState smacks New York Times reporter Richard Perez-Pena down pretty well.

But, then again, we know who has the agenda?

Right?

As a side note, there was discussion about the Mayor’s opening prior to Hizzoner’s news conference yesterday afternoon (after his speech) and nobody could name the song or the band. Someone finally mentioned Rudie Can’t Fail and the Clash.

Nobody liked the song (frequent comments were it sucked) or understood any of the words except: Rudie Can’t Fail.

Flap’s suggestion: get a new song and to Perez-Pena get a life…….

387185433 bdb12c34fd o Giuliani Notes: American Mainstream

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani gestures during his address at the California Republican Party convention in Sacramento, Calif., Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007. Giuliani’s remarks touched topics from health care, to crime, to terrorism to Iraq, in a speech laden with references to a possible bid for president.

Ventura County Star: Giuliani, in Sacramento, says he wants Bush’s job

Judging from his reception at the convention, Giuliani appears to be the early front-runner in the minds of California’s Republican partisans.

His leadership appeal has for many trumped the traditional conservative-moderate split that has dominated intraparty Republican politics for decades, as even many conservatives seem willing to overlook Giuliani’s positions that run counter to their beliefs on abortion, gay rights, gun control and illegal immigration.

“People are looking at the total package,” said Newbury Park dentist Gregory Cole, the author of a political blog that he says comes from a “center-right” perspective.

“They’re looking for a strong manager that they haven’t seen in President Bush, illustrated by our response to Hurricane Katrina.”

Cole said Giuliani’s views on abortion, gays and guns are “mainstream,” and thus give Giuliani an advantage many Republicans are looking for: the ability to match up against the favorite to win the Democratic nomination, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton.

“He can beat Hillary,” Cole said.

Heh……

387104001 1147270079 o Iran Nuclear Watch: Ahmadinejad Fails to Deliver Nuclear News

AFP: Defiant Ahmadinejad promises nuclear news in two months

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad delivers a speech in Tehran. Ahmadinejad has said Iran was ready to negotiate to end the standoff over its nuclear programme but insisted Tehran would never agree to the West’s most critical demand — a freeze in uranium enrichment.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has vowed Iran would never surrender to Western demands to suspend its nuclear drive and promised announcements on Tehran’s atomic progress in the next two months.

Many observers had expected Ahmadinejad to make a major announcement on the nuclear programme in a speech marking the 28th anniversary of the Islamic revolution but the president instead focused on Tehran’s continued defiance.

“If you are willing to negotiate why do you insist on a suspension (of nuclear enrichment)?” Ahmadinejad said Sunday, referring to the sensitive nuclear process the West wants Iran to halt as proof it is not seeking nuclear weapons.

“If we suspend our activities then what are we going to talk about? Why if your nuclear plants are working 24 hours a day why must Iran be pressured to shut them down?”

“We are ready to negotiate but under fair and even conditions,” he added.

Iran must be having technical difficulties with their uranium enrichment centrifuge placements and so Iranian President Ahmadinejad went to PLAN B – excoriate the Great Satan and STALL.

Tick Tock Tick Tock

America’s military has evidence that Iran is supplying Iraq’s Shiitie militias with arms that are killing American soldiers.

Yet, Iran’s nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani states that Iran’s Nuclear program ‘no threat to Israel.

Right…….

New York Post: RUDY’S CALIFORNIA GOLD RUSH

Rudy Giuliani sounded like a GOP cheerleader yesterday in a keynote address to the California Republican convention.

In his first campaign swing since filing a statement of presidential candidacy early last week, Giuliani kicked off a five-day trip to California by talking for more than 25 minutes before making a reference to his presidential push.

“Presidents have to make decisions and move the country forward. That’s the type of president that I would like to be,” he told the party faithful.

He insisted his time as New York’s mayor made him the “best as you can be prepared to be president of the United States.”

He told the delegates “you get to decide” who will be the next president. “I wish you decide on me,” said Giuliani, who is in the Golden State to help the party raise funds.
