RICHARD PÉREZ-PEÑA and the New York Times won’t let the Fireman’s forum and Rudy’s non-attendance go.

Everyone knows why.

Remember Richard’s other nasty-gram pieces on Rudy here and here.

Richard, this is an old story and after a couple of pieces Flap is just plain bored with your story line: Rudy Derangement Syndrome.

Earlier today Rudy announced more California endorsements for his presidential campaign.

The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee today announced the latest members of a growing California team supporting Rudy Giuliani for President. The endorsements follow a successful swing through the state and an overwhelming response by Californians to Mayor Giuliani’s optimistic vision for the future and proven leadership.

Cox & Forkum: Stretching the Truth

The Telegraph: Scientists threatened for ‘climate denial’.

Scientists who questioned mankind’s impact on climate change have received death threats and claim to have been shunned by the scientific community.

They say the debate on global warming has been “hijacked” by a powerful alliance of politicians, scientists and environmentalists who have stifled all questioning about the true environmental impact of carbon dioxide emissions.

Timothy Ball, a former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg in Canada, has received five deaths threats by email since raising concerns about the degree to which man was affecting climate change.

One of the emails warned that, if he continued to speak out, he would not live to see further global warming.

“Western governments have pumped billions of dollars into careers and institutes and they feel threatened,” said the professor.

“I can tolerate being called a sceptic because all scientists should be sceptics, but then they started calling us deniers, with all the connotations of the Holocaust. That is an obscenity. It has got really nasty and personal.”

Last week, Professor Ball appeared in The Great Global Warming Swindle, a Channel 4 documentary in which several scientists claimed the theory of man-made global warming had become a “religion”, forcing alternative explanations to be ignored.

Richard Lindzen, the professor of Atmospheric Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology – who also appeared on the documentary – recently claimed: “Scientists who dissent from the alarmism have seen their funds disappear, their work derided, and themselves labelled as industry stooges.

“The Great Global Warming Swindle” is an excellent British documentary that shows how global warming is treated as a religious orthodoxy that cannot be questioned. Little Green Footballs has posted the Flash version of the film. YouTube has a version in eight parts for easier viewing starting here. (LGF also noted an article about an oceanographer who says his views were misrepresented in the film).

But, if it were about EVOLUTION, then what would be the response……..?

2008 Republican Presidential Primary: Giuliani 37% McCain 16% Gingrich 11%

In the race to win the Republican Presidential nomination, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s (R) now has his biggest lead of the season—21 percentage points. Giuliani now attracts support from 37% of those likely to vote in a Republican Primary, up from 34% a week ago. While Giuliani gained three points, Arizona Senator John McCain lost three points and now is supported by just 16% of those surveyed. That is the lowest level of support measured so far who not long ago was presumed to be the frontrunner for the nomination.

The Poll Summary:

420245693 5cf67ce4ce o Giuliani Notes: Rudy 37% McCain 16% Gingrich 11% Romney 10%

This supports the pundit consensus that Rudy is SURGING, McCain is FADING and that Romney has NOT CAUGHT ON.

Flap continues to believe that by Labor Day the remaining candidates will be Rudy and Mitt.
