Giuliani Notes: More States in Play With a Giuliani Nomination

Republican presidential candidate and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani hands back an autographed campaign poster to the crowd after a rally at Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, April 3, 2007.

Hotline: Giuliani: Put More States In Play, Or Else We’ll Use (Lose)

Interviewed this a.m. on “Smerconish,” the Imus substitute on MSNBC, Giuliani said

“From a political point of view, I probably have the best chance of putting states like New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Washington, Oregon, California in play. And as a Republicans, if we don’t put those states in play next time … we may see a Democratic president.”

Of course and the polling supports this thesis.

Why do you think the Clinton Cabal wants Rudy OUT?

Hotline says that New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are realistically in play while the Western states of California, Oregon and Washington are a second tier reach.

But, what Hotline does not explain is that while these blue Western states may be a reach, Hillary will have to expend advertising dollars there to hold them. Money that would otherwise go to battleground states.

And where else to burn televison ad money than in California, where a GOP Presidential candidate has not been successful since Reagan.

There is nothing but common sense here……..
