CBS Poll: Clinton, Giuliani Still In Front
The GOP NUTS:
Rudy is down a bit, McCain is down more and Romney has picked up the slack. However, the 21% for someone else is Fred Thompson? And what impact would a named candidacy have on the numbers?
But, Rudy still leads by double digits and is up to a 8.5 point spread on the Real Clear Politics Poll averages:

Iran Watch: Uproot Israel?
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks in Parliament in Tehran in this May 16, 2007 file photo. Iran’s nuclear work is almost at its “peak”, Ahmadinejad said on Thursday while the head of the U.N.’s atomic watchdog said Iran was probably at least three years from making a nuclear bomb if it so chooses.
Nuclear Blackmail and “UPROOT” Israel talk will win Iran a mushroom cloud.
Boom….

Iraq War Watch: TORN
CNN: Dems in tough spot with war funding bill.
Democrats in Congress face a tough decision on a bill funding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that does not include a timetable for withdrawal of U.S. troops.Vote “yes,” and they are certain to face the wrath of anti-war forces in their political base.
Vote “no,” and they may further delay funding for military operations, in turn exposing themselves to the charge that they don’t support the troops.
Considering those unhappy options, Democratic leaders in the House and Senate decided Tuesday to remove timetables from the bill. President Bush has promised to veto the bill if it does include a withdrawal deadline, a move that would mean delaying much-needed funding for military operations.
But conveying the Democratic leadership’s hesitation to the president, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said members would not be forced into voting for the bill.
“I’m not likely to vote for something that doesn’t have a timetable or a goal of coming home,” Pelosi said.
Anti-war groups are furious at the decision of Democratic leaders to remove the timetables. MoveOn.org released a statement saying it would consider recruiting primary challengers to lawmakers who support the bill, as well as advertising against them in their districts or states.
“Voters elected Democrats in November to lead the way out of the mess in Iraq,” said Eli Pariser, executive director of MoveOn.org Political Action, who decried the bill as “just a blank check for an endless war.”
The pressure the funding measure is putting on Democratic senators running for president was clearly evident Wednesday.
The “SURRENDER MONKEYS” in the Congress really want to disarm the troops but are afraid of the repercussions – which would be suicide politically and electorally.
Come on Pelosi and Reid cut off the funds and vote against the bill!
Isn’t this bill the “blank check” that you did not wish to give the President? Isn’t this capitulation to President Bush?
Stand up for your beliefs…..You know will be happy even though Kos and the NUTROOTS aren’t.
Pelosi and Reid REMEMBER – NO GUTS, NO GLORY

Giuliani Notes: Rudy – Highest Net Favorable Image in Latest Gallup Poll
The Gallup Poll: Giuliani remains most positively evaluated; Clinton and Romney least so
Giuliani has the highest net favorable image of any of the major candidates, followed by Obama, Edwards, McCain, Fred Thompson, and finally Clinton and Romney. The net favorable ratings for several of these candidates — including in particular Clinton — have shown a decline through April, with a modest recovery in May.
The Name ID NUTS:
Note the low name identification of Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney. Can Thompson be considered a serious candidate? He has not announced his candidacy nor raised any money to bolster his low name identifiction. Not everyone watches Law and Order.
Let’s now look at a head to head favorability graph of Rudy and Hillary:
This differential boosts the “electability” argument for Rudy and bolsters the argument for an Obama nomination.
All things considered, a poll of this nature continues to support the frontrunner status of the Mayor.

Illegal Immigration Watch: The Gang of 12
Photos of Senators in involved in the bipartisan immigration compromise. Top row, from left are, Sen. Mel Martinez, R-Fla., Republican Presidential hopeful Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., Sen. Ken Salazar, D-Colo., and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Bottom row, from left are, Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., and Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass.
‘Gang of 12’ mulls over immigration bill
Some derisively refer to them as ‘the masters of the universe’
Now we know who are calling the illegal immigration shots in the Senate.
And who to hold accountable.
Chances continue at 50-50 on passage in the Senate. However, with public sentiment running against the bill it is doubtful that it will be called up in the House.
Thus, the bill dies and the issue of illegal immigration and border security will be transferred to the 2008 Presidential campaigns.
