Elvira Arellano vowes to keep fighting from Mexico

Is deported illegal alien Elvira Arellano the next Rosa Parks of the New Sanctuary Movement?

For the past year, Elvira Arellano has promoted an overhaul of U.S. immigration laws from inside a Chicago church, where the illegal immigrant sought refuge to avoid being separated from her U.S.-born son.

Now, after being deported Sunday by U.S. immigration officials, she is trying to stir sympathy from within her native Mexico.

She huddled less than 24 hours later with about a dozen activists to plan her next steps in Tijuana, just across the border from San Diego and only about 100 miles from where she says she entered the United States illegally in 1997. Her plans included a talk-radio show appearance Tuesday, a news conference at City Hall on Thursday and a rally Sept. 12.

“I have a fighting spirit, and I’m going to continue to fight,” Arellano, 32, said outside the second-floor apartment where she is living with a friend. Her 8-year-old son Saul will stay in Chicago with his godmother.

Representative Filner is on his way to Iraq and his Congressional office issued the following statement:

“Congressman Bob Filner is on his way to Iraq, visiting our troops, and will have a full statement when he returns,” his office tells Roll Call. “Suffice it to say now, that the story that has appeared in the press is factually incorrect — and the charges are ridiculous.”

And here is the statement from Dulles Airport officials:

Around 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, Airports Authority police were called to the United Airlines bag claim office at Dulles for a report of an incident with a passenger regarding his baggage. The individual allegedly attempted to enter an area authorized for airline employees only, pushed aside the employee’s outstretched arm and refused to leave the area when asked by an airline employee.

When MWAA officers arrived a few minutes later, the man had left the office and was waiting in the area of a bag carousel. Officers interviewed him and witnesses and released him. Before the individual left the airport, officers advised him that the airline employee would be pursuing charges. The airline employee appeared before a Loudoun County magistrate later that evening and a summons was obtained charging Robert Filner (DOB 9/4/1942) with assault and battery, a Class 1 misdemeanor. Mr. Filner is scheduled to appear in Loudoun County General District Court on Oct. 2.

Being a Congressman does not entitle you to being an ASSHOLE to airport employees.

Flap is not Filner’s political consultant but it seems that he would have been better off politically if he had postponed his trip to Iraq and taken care of this business first.

Filner could start with an APOLOGY.

Aside from the Broaddrick issue, Prudhomme supported John McCain‘s presidential run in 2000 as a Derry Town Chair.[2]When her political activism died down in the media, Prudhomme went on to continue raising her two daughters, and take part in Derry politics by becoming one of the Library Trustees and a member of the Republican State Committee. She was elected as a delegate from the Town of Derry to the New Hampshire GOP State Convention in 2006[3]. Prudhomme is a part of the Vesta Roy Series group, which encourages conservative women to enter politics. Most recently, Prudhomme organized a luncheon for 2008 Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney.[[4]] She is a conservative, however she is critical of the current Bush administration. Although she was suspected of supporting Republican Presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo, Prudhomme later denied the claim, saying, “I am not with any campaign.” However, she admitted to liking the “sincerity” of Dennis Kucinich and met with Tancredo at her Derry home.[[5]]

Was Rudy set-up?

You betcha and on a non-issue at that. What the hell does his just turned eighteen year old daughter’s Facebook page have to do with ANYTHING?

Flap doesn’t know which is worse – A professional Presidential Candidate HECKLER stealthly supporting McCain in Katherine Prudhomme-O’Brien or the DRIVE-BY attempt by Jon Keller to ignore HER past and portray her as an ordinary mom asking the former Mayor a family values question? And, while her daughter’s mouth is taped up with a Rudy sticker like an abortion protester .

Judge for yourself.

In her own defense, Prudhomme-O’Brien says she is not a whacko.

The new Field Poll found a plurality of support for electoral vote change, including a virtual tie among Democratic voters, when poll respondents were given a bare bones description and asked, “Generally speaking, which method of allocating California’s electoral votes do you prefer — the current winner-take-all method or the proposed district-by-district method?”

Overall, a shift to district allocation was favored by 47 percent of voters and opposed by 35 percent, with a 57-28 split in favor among Republicans, a 41-42 virtual tie among Democrats and a 43-34 edge among independents.

However, when a different question is asked and it is explained that Democrats would potentially lose electoral college votes, Democrats and Independents flip against the initiative.

A composite question results in a 49% in FAVOR.

Flap thinks this initiative WILL be pivotal in electing the next President. Look for intense fundraising and both parties lending media consultants to run a surrogate Presidential campaign in June 2008 in California.

Hillary needs all of California electoral votes to win the Presidency. Without them her chances and the Democrat’s ability to regain the White House is considerably diminished.

It is called the RULE OF LAW.

Flap doesn’t think the September 12 immigration protest or the Los Angeles protests this weekend will draw much sympathy from most Americans – because most are fed up with the Bush Administration’s failure to enforce the law and secure the Mexican border.
