  • Fred Thompson 22%
  • John McCain 15%
  • Mitt Romney 10%
  • Mike Huckabee 5%

The Real Clear Politics national GOP Poll Averages:

Rudy continues to lead nationally and does especially well in a five candidate field.

Romney who is leading in early states (Iowa, New Hampshire and Michigan) places fourth behind a resurging John McCain.

Head to head Rudy beats Fred Thompson 53% – 40%.
