Rudy Giuliani Watch: MoveOn Betray Us Ad FEC Flap

The LEFT has a funny way to help Rudy, now don’t they?

The Federal Elections Commission (FEC) SHOULD investigate MoveOn.org and the sweetheart deal they had with the New York Times. But, will they?

Doubtful.

But, keep the issue out there for Rudy, boys. It helps – especially with the fundraising.

Fred Thompson is the only candidate that gets it. He makes decisions based on principles. Principles don’t change. You have to stand for something and not change who you are based on the polls. That is what Mitt and Rudy have done and all of the Dems do it. Give me a leader that will stand by his principals anyday versus someone that stands for everything.

MoveOn.org did not pay the “normal” price. They got a deal and hence it is an illegal corporate campaign contribution by the New York Times.

Rudy paid the price he was quoted.

    Brian,

Your link is old (September 24). LOL…….

Rudy paid the amount that was quoted him. He does not control MoveOn.org and they paid only after being exposed as making an illegal campaign contribution.

MoveOn.org will probably be fined by the Federal Elections Commission.

Is he running low on money?

    Don’t think so.

But, we will see in a few days, now won’t we?

  • Brian

You are missing the point. Moveon has corrected the price they were quoted to avoid ethics charges against them.

Rudy has not paid the full price. Instead, as I type this he is the only one that paid the discount price after he demanded to pay the same price as moveon.

I am sure his fund raising will be decent. It isn’t like he is paying full price for his ads…

    Brian,

    You are missing the facts.

MoveOn.org only corrected the amount they paid after a “stink” was made and it became obvious they benefited from illegal activity, namely a corporate contribution by the New York Times.

The Giuliani campaign paid the rate that the New York Times quoted him.

Why should he pay more than what was quoted? And why would the New York Times make the same illegal contribution twice?

    That doesn’t make any sense.

  • Brian

Giuliani demanded the same price that moveon paid.

He wanted the discounted price and got it.

Then, moveon, to silence critics like you paid the normal full price although they blame the New York Times.

But you still want Giuliani to pay the discount price.

If you are calling it illegal t give a discount moveon fixed the infraction, but Giuliani did not.

You should demand he not get special treatment.

    Brian,

With all due respect did you read the Politico link above?

    Your facts are incorrect.

Rudy paid the standby rate and received standby placement. Giuliani received NO discount like MoveOn.org did.

Do you understand the difference in the rate structures?

And why should I demand anything? MoveOn.org broke the law not Giuliani.
