Ron Paul Watch: Paul Pays Former GOP Arkansas Lawmakers To Trash Mike Huckabee in Iowa
Republican presidential hopeful, Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, responds during the Des Moines Register Republican Presidential Debate in Johnston, Iowa, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007.
Ron Paul is paying former Arkansas State Senator Jim Holt and former Arkansas State Representative Randy Minton $5,000 to NOT hype Ron Paul’s candidacy but trash talk Mike Huckabee in Iowa.Flap doesn’t believe that he has ever heard of direct payment by a campaign for a “NEGATIVE” surrogate attack. Or at least have the campaign admit it.
Paul’s campaign said Thursday it was paying former Sen. Jim Holt and former Rep. Randy Minton about $5,000 each to go to Iowa for a series of radio interviews criticizing Huckabee’s 10 1/2 years as Arkansas governor.
“We just want to make sure Iowans get the full picture of what Governor Huckabee did when he was in office,” said Paul’s campaign spokesman, Jesse Benton. “There hasn’t been a whole lot of information going out to Iowans and we want to make sure they get the full picture.”
Didn’t Flap mention a few months ago that Paul was going to do negative and enfarious campaign influencing with all of that money he has been raising? Paul NEVER had any intention to try to win this race. RP is playing “SPOILER.”
It is just starting folks.Who will Ron Paul try to sink in New Hampshire and South Carolina? And, he will continue until his $12 million or so is spent.
Wonder if Mitt Romney is chipping in?
Stay tuned…..

Barack Obama Watch: What’s the Big Deal Obama Has Always Had a Reputation as a “STONER”
U.S. Democratic presidential candidates (L-R) Senator Barack Obama (D-IL), Governor Bill Richardson (D-NM) and Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) take the stage during the Democratic presidential debate in Johnston, Iowa December 13, 2007.
Yeah, Hillary’s campaign is faltering, hubby Slick is pissed and she so sends Mark Penn et. al. to hatchet Oprah’s bitch Barack Obama.
Oh Yeah, Hillary fires the one who gets caught (the husband of a former Governor of New Hampshire and U.S Senate candidate) and then she apologizes for sending the minion out in the first place.
What a waste.
Everyone knows that Obama has a reputation as a “Stoner.” Didn’t he admit such drug abuse years ago?
So, it is the inexperienced, pothead Senator versus the rabid Slick Willy cut-throat former First Lady bitch Senator on the other.
Glad I don’t have to make a choice between these idiots for President. Hell, I could even vote for Romney (Flap holding his nose while marking his ballot).

Michael Ramirez on Drugs in Major League Baseball
Flap watched quite a few of these players as collegians. Why did Major League Baseball allowed them to ruin their health, ruin the integrity of the game and failed to crack down on steroid use when it first began to surface?
Money?
Probably. More Home Runs and more excitement. But at what cost?
Here is the list of the players implicated.
Stay tuned……

Rudy Giuliani California Poll Watch: Rudy Holding Steady in The Golden State

Rudy Giuliani addressing the press in Santa Monica, California, December 11, 2007. Giuliani is answering a question from a reporter with the Los Angeles Times about his position on the minimum wage and corporate tax rates.
In the latest California PPIC poll Rudy Giuliani continues to lead Mitt Romney by nine points.
- Rudy 24% (22%, September 4 thru 11)
- Mitt Romney 15% (16%)
- Mike Huckabee 12% (2%)
- John McCain 11% (15%)
- Fred Thompson 10% (16%)
- Duncan Hunter 3% (3%)
- Ron Paul 3% (NA)
- Tom Tancredo 3% (2%)
- Don’t Know 17% (20%)
Survey of 346 likely Republican primary voters was conducted November 27 – December 4. The margin of error is +/- 5 percentage points.
This is a small sampling and the poll was taken before the full effects of the Huckaboom. If any conclusions can be drawn it is Huckabee’s surge is at the expense of John McCain and Fred Thompson.
Stay tuned as Flap heads to Indianapolis from Phoenix
Update:
Sorry but my lay over in Phoenix was short and I had to run to Starbucks before boarding. I have updated the post now with video from Tuesday afternoon when Giuliani had a news presser in Santa Monica. The question in this video is one immediately following Flap’s question.
Rudy has held steady in California and increased his lead over Mitt Romney by two points (within the margin of error). Mike Huckabee’s rise is noteworthy and it remains to be seen if Huckabee can challenge Romney for second place. Note the date of the poll.
Flap has not seen nor heard of ANY campaign organization in California for Huckabee. Romney has made several campaign swings through the state and has organizational boots on the ground.Fred Thompson does have the endorsement of Flap’s California State Senator Tom McClintock (an inportant endorsement) and has made several fundraising trips to Orange County but Flap has not seen too much of the candidate – outside re-runs of Law and Order (nahhh, I even think they took those off the air).
The Mayor continues in good shape in California and should be able to win a majority of GOP delegates on February 5th.
