Why John McCain CANNOT Be the GOP Nominee
Michael Ramirez almost says it all in his cartoon above except there is Mark Levin’s piece for National Review.
Key graphs:
McCain-Feingold — the most brazen frontal assault on political speech since Buckley v. Valeo.
McCain-Kennedy — the most far-reaching amnesty program in American history.
McCain-Lieberman — the most onerous and intrusive attack on American industry — through reporting, regulating, and taxing authority of greenhouse gases — in American history.
McCain-Kennedy-Edwards — the biggest boon to the trial bar since the tobacco settlement, under the rubric of a patients’ bill of rights.
McCain-Reimportantion of Drugs — a significant blow to pharmaceutical research and development, not to mention consumer safety (hey Rudy, pay attention, see link).
**********
The fact is that if Rudy Giuliani wants to be the President of the United States he has to make his case to the GOP.
Anyone doubt that Rudy will?

Rudy Giuliani Vs. John McCain on Illegal Immigration

Rudy Giuliani on Illegal Immigration, South Carolina GOP Debate, January 10, 2008
Illegal immigration is one of THE WEDGE ISSUES that Rudy must use against John McCain. It is imperative that Rudy contrast his ideas expressed in his twelve committment’s illegal immigration plan with that of the amnesty laden Kennedy-McCain immigration plan that failed this past summer – yet McCain co-authored with the liberal Teddy Kennedy.
What would Rudy do:
- Bring Order To The Border: Congress authorized the construction of 700 miles of border fence in 2006 and then appropriated over $1.1 billion for border security. However, Washington has only built a few dozen miles of fence. Rudy will commit to building the fence – both physical and high-tech – now, while deploying and maintaining 20,000 Border Patrol agents and measuring their progress toward ending illegal immigration
- Deport All Illegal Aliens Who Commit A Felony
- Implement BorderStat: use key indicators to identify both effective enforcement strategies that demonstrate tangible results and areas of the border where we are failing so the failures can be immediately corrected
- Issue A Single, Tamper-Proof Biometric ID Card for all non-citizen workers and students
- Create A Single National Database Of Foreigners
- Identify Those Who Have Left The Country With Biometric Check-out System
- Require All Immigrants to Truly Read, Write & Speak English
This is a far different program than proposed by Senator McCain. Rudy needs to contrast and differentiate his NON-AMNESTY approach to illegal immigration.
JOHN MCCAIN SUPPORTS ILLEGAL ALIEN AMNESTY
Rudy needs to get the message out………
Flap blegs you go here and donate now – unless you want Illegal alien amnesty from McCain and the Democrats.

Day By Day by Chris Muir January 12, 2008
Hillary has tried to annoint herself the queen of party by playing the “female card” and crying but she will run into a stubborn Democrat electorate in big states that view this as a ruse to defeat Obama.
Obama is racking up the endorsements and has the cash to compete with Hillary through Super Duper Tuesday, February 5.
How dare he?
On the GOP side, Mitt Romney and now John McCain are attempting to use momentum to drive other candidates out of the race.
Likewise, it will not happen. Rudy is in; Huckabee, plus Thompson and Romney will stick around – why not?
February 5 will be an interesting day in primary season. But, Flap bets the primary race for 2008 continues through April and perhaps to convention time in the Fall.

What the piece doesn’t mention is the other GOP candidates that are broke or using personal funds. McCain is in debt and Thompson is broke. Romney has spent over $20 million of his own fortune.

“Money gives you the chance to pay for a message and distribute it,” says Michael J. Malbin, director of the nonpartisan Campaign Finance Institute. “It doesn’t mean people want to hear it.”

A video of Janet Huckabee and Ed Rollins after yesterday’s debate is making the rounds. She appears to be berating him for something, or at least talking in quite an animated manner.
