Remember Hizzoner was an Associate Justice in Ronald Reagan’s Justice Department and a United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York – also appointed by President Ronald Reagan.
Rudy fought crime and fought the mob.

Anti-McCain Flyer Begins Nasty South Carolina GOP Campaign
This will be a NASTY GOP campaign in South Carolina.
The McCain campaign responded here.
Flap says disagree with John McCain on the issues (and Flap does mightily), vote for, support someone else, but, crap like this has no place in politics.
Update:
More on the Flyer.
The mastermind of the anti-McCain veterans mailer, Jerry Kiley of the group Vietnam Veterans Against McCain, told NBC News/National Journal that he created the ad, and it was printed and mailed by a group that publishes the like-minded journal US Veteran Dispatch.
Among Kiley’s claims is that McCain gave his captors information about U.S. flight paths in exchange for better medical care after being shot down in Hanoi. He added that a similar effort to discredit McCain will be made in other states in the future.
How will this crapola play in South Carolina? Will it damage McCain?

Schwarzenegger’s California Budget Deficit Reduction Plan is a SHAM
California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger uses a chart to help explain his state budget plan during a news conference in Sacramento, Calif., on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2007.
The California State Budget for this next year is running $14 billion in the red and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed a budget deficit reduction plan. This plan involves borrowing money, deferring debt payments and the counting future tax revenue, according to a report released today by the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office.
The Governator’s plan is a sham. He defers hard budget choices as he has done every year while in office. Remember when California voters were asked to approve borrowing to bail out Democrat Governor Gray Davis’s budget?
How many different times does Flap have to spell it out that Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a disastrous Governor for California – on the order of Gray Davis.
Now, Arnold who has failed to balance the budget in every fiscal year he has been California governor has proposed new draconian cuts and new borrowing and accounting gimmicks. But, does Schwarzenegger REALLY want such draconian cuts or is this theater?
Time for Arnold to make legitimate budget decisions.

Day By Day by Chris Muir January 15, 2008
Flap will be off today for a morning meeting in Los Angeles.
So while the Michigan GOP voters decide the race for 2008 on the GOP side and the Democrats prepare for their Las Vegas debate Flap will be driving the Los Angeles freeways – Oh Joy!
On the Giuliani front, there is this piece of optimism from Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post. Rudy declining in the national and big state polls has seen a little resurgence in Florida where he has been campaigning night and day.
A little warning to the GOP:
It is going to be a tough year to retain the Presidency – no matter who the nominee is.
Vote carefully and vote independently from what others are dictating to you as the momentum of the day. Choose a candidate that has the leadership, vision and temperate nature that can play across the broad spectrum of voters.

What Patrick Ruffini does not add into the calculus is the McCain may finally get some scrutiny of his policy positions and have to say something. Someone or more than one will go negative against him and Flap’s bet is that it starts later today. Of cours
-
McCain would face an energized Democrat Party while his nomination would demoralize the GOP base. Democrats win – end of story.
-
Rudy has the best organized campaign in Florida and California.
-
Flap calls a benefit for Romney. Will he win? Yep, by a few points.
-
Flap would be accused of being a “PIG” if I asked about Angelina…….Voight’s daughter
