The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s pastor for the last 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago’s south side.

Trinity United Church of Christ of Chicago has pushed back against the stories about their anti-American and anti-white former Pastor, Jeremiah Wright.

The church attended by Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) fought back Sunday against mounting criticism of its pastor, accusing the media of character assassination and “crucifixion.”

Otis Moss II, the current pastor of Trinity United Church, used his pulpit to defend his congregation and its past minister, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., from a wave of controversy stemming from inflammatory statements made by Wright.

“We have listened and watched as the wonderful work of our church has been vilified this week,” he told about 3,000 congregants on Palm Sunday morning. “This week should be special for us because I guess we know a little something about crucifixion.”

For what?

The MSM has been covering up “Uncle” Jeremy Wright for years and his association with Obama. So, now when the press gets off of their asses and report what Wright has actually said (see video above), the church says they have been crucified.

• Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. preached the Christian tenet, “love thy neighbor as thyself.” Before Dr. King was murdered on April 4, 1968, he preached, “The 11 o’clock hour is the most segregated hour in America.” Forty years later, the African American Church community continues to face bomb threats, death threats, and their ministers’ characters are assassinated because they teach and preach prophetic social concerns for social justice. Sunday is still the most segregated hour in America.

The current Pastor of Trinity and the church simply do NOT get it. Jeremiah Wright’s sermons in part are “HATE SPEECH” which are anti-American and anti-white RACIST.

Jeremiah Wright’s actions in supporting, plus honoring Louis Farrakhan and traveling with him to visit Libya’s strong man Muammar Khadafi are troubling. Obama has disavowed Wright’s rhetoric and association with anti-Semitic Farrakhan but why did Obama remain in this church for over twenty years?

Obama has NOT done enough to distance himself from this association with Wright and his church. And, the church’s push back against the media will certainly not help him.

Sen. John McCain is seen at Baghdad’s International Airport to visit the top U.S. commander in Iraq, Gen. David Petraeus, Baghdad, Iraq, Sunday, March 16, 2008. McCain, the likely Republican presidential nominee who has linked his political future to U.S. success in Iraq, was in Baghdad on Sunday for meetings with Iraqi and U.S. diplomatic and military officials, a U.S. government official said.

Senator and GOP Presidential nominee John McCain is in Iraq.

McCain, a strong supporter of the U.S. military mission in Iraq, is believed to be staying in the country for about 24 hours.

“Senator McCain is in Iraq and will be meeting with Iraqi and U.S. officials,” said Mirembe Nantongo, spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

This is the senator’s eighth visit to Iraq. He’s accompanied by Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. Before leaving, McCain said the trip to the Middle East and Europe was a fact-finding venture, not a campaign photo opportunity.

The senator last met with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki during the Thanksgiving holiday.

“We were informed that John McCain landed in Iraq Sunday morning. A meeting will take place with the Iraqi government,” said Ali al-Moussawi, an official in the prime minister’s office.

McCain was to meet Sunday with Deputy Prime Minister Barham Saleh. Later in the day, he and Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, were to talk. It also was thought McCain would meet with al-Maliki.

McCain’s weeklong trip also includes stops in Israel, Jordan, Britain and France.

McCain IS the “BIG DOG” outside of President Bush regarding United States foreign policy. Flap cannot believe he actually supports something Mitt Romney has said. But, it is true.

By the way, how many times has Barack Obama been to Iraq and met with the Iraqi government officials?

The LEFT is pretty good with rhymes but not so much on supporting their arguments with facts. Remember it was Al Gore who invented the internet and was at the forefront of global warming now called climate change. What rhymes with these falsehoods?

And, the Bush rhymes makes one wonder why there is so much “HATE” on the LEFT for someone they deem so inept?
