99947308 8e56611159 o Mohammed Cartoon Watch: Osama bin Laden Issues Warning

One of the Mohammed cartoons that sparked riots last year throughout the Muslim world

Al Qaeda’s Osama bin Laden issued a new video today (actually a graphic and audio recording). In the recording Osama bin Laden addressed the “wise men” of the European Union, slamming the publication of drawings insulting to the Prophet Muhammad and vowing a strong reaction.

The message, which appeared on a militant Web site that has carried al-Qaida statements in the past and bore the logo of the extremist group’s media wing al-Sahab, showed a still image of bin Laden aiming with an AK-47.

A voice believed to be bin Laden’s described the attacks of the Europeans on women and children but said these “paled (in comparison) when you went overboard in your unbelief and freed yourselves of the etiquettes of dispute and fighting and went to the extent of publishing these insulting drawings, this is the greatest misfortune and the most dangerous.”

Today is the fifth anniversary of the Iraq War and bin Laden talks about the Mohammed Cartoons? Remember the cartoon flap originally began when?

September 30, 2005!

How come no video from bin Laden? And, where is Adam Gadahn?

The leader of al Qaeda has become a cheerleader from afar for riots in the Muslim world over cartoons.

Go figure.

Michael Ramirez on Barack Obama and his Pastor, Jeremiah Wright

Well, it was the beginning of a trend and now it is apparent – Barack Obama is falling in the polls.

Falling to Hillary Clinton for the Democrat nomination and …….

Losing to John McCain in a general election match-up.

Most of these polls were conducted before the nadir of the Jeremiah Wright onslaught of videos and Obama’s MEA CULPA.

Michigan re-do primary is DEAD

capt25d3c07f22424d749deeu2 Do Over Democrat Primary Election in Michigan Likely Won’t Happen? Part Two

Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y. addresses supporters during a rally in Detroit, Wednesday, March 19, 2008.

A Michigan Democrat re-do primary on June 3rd?

Well, Hillary has rushed out to Michigan to plead her case to Michigan voters but the Michigan legislative deadline is tomorrow.

And, there are some questions about disenfranchising voters who participated in the first primary election in January.

Although Michigan has always run open elections, which allow voters to vote in whatever primary they prefer, voters who participated in the Republican primary in January could not vote in the June election under the proposed law. This class of voters includes Democrats and Independents who chose not to vote in the invalid Democratic primary at the time because the majority of active candidates did not appear on the ballot and the results would not be accepted under party rules.

The State is also vulnerable to challenge under the party rules. Since any Republican or independent who did not vote in January in the Republican primary is fully free to participate in the June primary, the effect of the proposal is to enfranchise a class of Republicans while disenfranchising a class of Democrats-the ones who chose to vote in the Republican primary when they correctly understood that the Democratic contest was meaningless.

Rush Limbaugh and the GOP will GAME this election. Then, will come the legal challenge to the entire process.

So, is Hillary tilting at windmills for a new election or trying to make Obama look bad by opposing a legitimate vote?

All of the above.

Flap doubts there will be a re-do in Michigan.

0 Barack Obama Watch: Throwing Grandma Under the Bus

Barack Obama in yesterday’s speech: A More Perfect Union throws his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, under the bus by discussing her racism

While Flap was twittering Barack Obama’s A More Perfect Union speech yesterday I made reference to this passage:

I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.

These people are a part of me. And they are a part of America, this country that I love.

Flap remarked that Obama threw his grandmother “under the bus” in comparing her own racist views to those of Jeremiah Wright instead of throwing Jeremiah Wright “under the bus” for his anti-American and anti-white statements.

This was reprehensible and particularly so under further examination of Obama’s grandmother and her role in raising her grandson.

Stanley Dunham, “Barry” Obama and grandmother Madelyn Dunham

Flap wasn’t the ONLY blogger noting Obama’s objectionable family criticism in order to justify an association with Jeremiah Wright and the “BLACK” community.

Scott Johnson twice at Power Line:

Throw grandma under the bus

Throw grandma under the bus, part 2

Yesterday I referred to the false equivalencies in Obama’s extenuation of, and attempt to change the subject from, the fulsome Jeremiah Wright. I focused on the false equivalence Obama drew between his grandmother and Wright. Mickey Kaus meticulously teases out a number of other false equivalencies in the speech. Steve Sailer contrasts Obama’s account of his grandmother in Dreams From My Father with the account in his speech. Sailer concludes that Obama threw his grandmother “under the wheels of the BS express.”

Gateway Pundit has a round up.

Don’t think that American voters noticed how far too easily Obama trashed his own family for political expediency. Will Hillary be able to make this case to the Democrat Super Delegates?

Or will the Democrat Party nominate an extremist who trash talks his own grandmother?

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Obama needs the Democrat Super Delegates to deliver him the Democrat nomination. However, this may be a “hollow” victory if he receives the nod by his party and then loses the general election to John McCain.

The damage the Jeremiah Wright flap has done to Obama is incalculable. There is now little reason to believe that Obama can win against Senator McCain.

And, this is precisely the argument that Hillary Clinton will make to the Super Delegates.

Watch the Pennsylvania Democrat Primary and national Dem-GOP polls to see how quickly and how far Obama falls.
