    Earlier today Flap had a compilation of Hillary Clinton’s “SHAMELESS LIES MISSTATEMENTS.” Here is another one.

    Hillary supported NAFTA and irrespective of her now expedient and FAULTY recollection, the evidence is pretty clear.

    These members of Congress COULD NOT or WOULD NOT find out who funded their trip to Iraq immediately preceding the start of the Iraq War?

    Saddam Hussein’s intelligence agency secretly financed a trip to Iraq for three U.S. lawmakers during the run-up to the U.S.-led invasion, federal prosecutors said Wednesday

    An indictment unsealed in Detroit accuses Muthanna Al-Hanooti, a member of a Michigan nonprofit group, of arranging for three members of Congress to travel to Iraq in October 2002 at the behest of Saddam’s regime. Prosecutors say Iraqi intelligence officials paid for the trip through an intermediary.

    At the time, the Bush administration was trying to persuade Congress to authorize military action against Iraq.

    The lawmakers are not named in the indictment but the dates correspond to a trip by Democratic Reps. Jim McDermott of Washington, David Bonior of Michigan and Mike Thompson of California. There was no indication the three lawmakers knew the trip was underwritten by Saddam.

    “Obviously we didn’t know it at the time,” McDermott spokesman Michael DeCesare said Wednesday. “The trip was to see the plight of the Iraqi children. That’s the only reason we went.”

    During the trip, the lawmakers expressed skepticism about the Bush administration’s claims that Saddam was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction. Though such weapons ultimately were never found, the lawmakers drew criticism for their trip at the time.

    Oklahoma Sen. Don Nickles, the second-ranking Senate Republican at the time, said the Democrats “sound somewhat like spokespersons for the Iraqi government.”

    In the pocket of Saddam Hussein, yet, Baghdad Jim McDermott claims that he did not know who paid for the trip outside a Seattle church group.

    And, there will be more excuses from the other Democrats.

    But, these United States Congressmen gave aid and comfort to Saddam Hussein and his government in the immediate period before the war. Didn’t they have the slightest inkling as to who was sponsoring the trip?

    Barack Obama Chides John McCain on “Sit Back and Watch” Economic Policies

    Barack Obama today criticized John McCain on what he called was McCain’s “sit back and watch” approach to American economic distress.

    “John McCain has admitted he doesn’t understand the economy as well as he should, and yesterday he proved it in giving a speech on the housing crisis,” Obama told an auditorium of supporters.Obama pointed out that McCain “said the best way for us to address the fact that millions of Americans are losing their homes is to just sit back and watch it happen. In his entire speech yesterday, he offered not one policy, not one idea, not one bit of relief to the nearly 35,000 North Carolinians who are forced to foreclose on their dreams in the last three months.”

    And, what is Obama proposing?

    We’ll help families and lenders rework existing subprime loans into affordable long-term fixed loans and create a foreclosure prevention fund to help keep Americans in their homes. We’ll provide a mortgage tax credit to give homeowners relief, we’re going to crack down on mortgage fraud and predatory lenders so that this doesn’t happen again.

    Besides cracking dowsn on mortgage fraud and predatory lenders, Obama’s program sounds like “TAX, REDISTRIBUTE AND SPEND” to Flap.

    This is exactly what does NOT make economic sense – to raise taxes on everyone to “bail out” those lenders and homeowners who made mistakes in the housing market by borrowing too much or otherwise incorrectly speculating in the “housing bubble.” What about market forces in the housing market?

    Like Hillary Clinton yesterday, Obama is offering neither a solution nor an understanding of the current housing and economic crisis facing America.

    CBS news exposes the real story of Hillary Clinton’s 1996 trip to Bosnia.

    Is Hillary Clinton’s LIE or EMBELLISHMENT about her 1996 Bosnia trip, commonly known as Snipergate, Tuzla Fantasy and others a one time event or a portion of a pattern?

    ABC News:

    In light of Tuzla-gate (catchy, no?), reporters are going over past statements by Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, (and Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois) to see if others don’t stand more rigorous examination.

    One that may get renewed scrutiny is a story she told “Women in Military Service” in 1994 — that shortly after the end of the Vietnam war, she looked into joining the Marines.

    And, Dick Morris has many more LIES misstatements of fact:

    • Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.)
    • Hillary was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (She admitted she was wrong. He climbed Mt. Everest five years after her birth.)
    • She was under sniper fire in Bosnia. (A girl presented her with flowers at the foot of the ramp.)
    • She learned in The Wall Street Journal how to make a killing in the futures market. (It didn’t cover the market back then.)

    Others that Morris claims but are NOT admitted by Hillary:

    • She didn’t know about the FALN pardons.
    • She didn’t know that her brothers were being paid to get pardons that Clinton granted.
    • Taking the White House gifts was a clerical error.
    • She didn’t know that her staff would fire the travel office staff after she told them to do so.
    • She didn’t know that the Peter Paul fundraiser in Hollywood in 2000 cost $700,000 more than she reported it had.
    • She opposed NAFTA at the time.
    • She was instrumental in the Irish peace process.
    • She urged Bill to intervene in Rwanda.
    • She played a role in the ’90s economic recovery.
    • The billing records showed up on their own.
    • She thought Bill was innocent when the Monica scandal broke.
    • She was always a Yankees fan.
    • She had nothing to do with the New Square Hasidic pardons (after they voted for her 1,400-12 and she attended a meeting at the White House about the pardons).
    • She negotiated for the release of refugees in Macedonia (who were released the day before she got there).

    Do you think the press may be scrutinizing Hillary JUST a little more now? Has the bloom fallen from the Rose Law firm?
    But, are they still drinking the Obama Kool-aid?

    The Democrat Party initiated the Super Delegate system to avoid a repeat of a 1972 George McGovern type melt-down. The system uses elected officials and party HACKS to act as a balance to elected delegates (primary elections and caucuses).

    Neither Hillary Clinton nor Barack Obama have won sufficient “elected” delegates to clinch the Democrat nomination. None of the future primary elections and caucuses, likewise, will provide sufficiently enough “elected” delegates to grant a majority before the convention in August.

    Hence, unless a “DEAL” is consummated a “BROKERED CONVENTION” will occur. Whoever persuades a majority of the Super Delegates that they deserve the nomination will win.

    In the meantime, Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has indicated that most Super Delegates will not supercede the will of the Democrat voters in their selection of a nominee. However, each Super Delegate is independent and can vote their conscience at the Denver convention.

    Barack Obama is currently leading in the total delegate count with Hillary Clinton having gathered momentum with late primary season wins and leads in the polls in upcoming primary contests.

    Will Hillary be able to dislodge enough Super Delegates from Obama to win the nomination?

    Flap says no and agrees that she has about a 5-10 per cent chance of winning the nomination. John McCain and Barack Obama will face off in the November general election.
