Indiana Adult Drivers License on the Left, Under 21 on the Right

The United States Supreme court this morning upheld Indiana’s photo ID law for voters.

The Supreme Court ruled Monday that states can require voters to produce photo identification without violating their constitutional rights, validating Republican-inspired voter ID laws.

In a splintered 6-3 ruling, the court upheld Indiana’s strict photo ID requirement, which Democrats and civil rights groups said would deter poor, older and minority voters from casting ballots. Its backers said it was needed to deter fraud.

It was the most important voting rights case since the Bush v. Gore dispute that sealed the 2000 election for George W. Bush mirrored.

The law “is amply justified by the valid interest in protecting ‘the integrity and reliability of the electoral process,’” Justice John Paul Stevens said in an opinion that was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Anthony Kennedy.

Justices Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas also agreed with the outcome, but wrote separately.

Justices Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and David Souter dissented.

More than 20 states require some form of identification at the polls. Courts have upheld voter ID laws in Arizona, Georgia and Michigan, but struck down Missouri’s. Tuesday’s decision comes a week before Indiana’s presidential primary.

A common sense ruling. And, another reason why illegal aliens should NOT be granted drivers’ licenses.

Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., pastor of Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ, speaks at a breakfast at the National Press Club in Washington April 28, 2008.

No wonder Jeremiah Wright is receiving protection from the Nation of Islam for the death threats he purportedly has received.

  • This Wasn’t an Attack on Me, It Was an Attack on the Black Church
  • Hits those who “worship Sunday mornings in a black clergy robe, then burn crosses on Sunday evening with a white Klan robe.”
  • “The Christianity of the slave-holder is not the Christianity of the slave.”
  • On Farrkhan: “How many people do you know who could get one million people on the mall? Farrakhan is like E.F. Hutton. When he talks, black America listens. Whether they agree with him or not, they listen.”
  • On Obama’s reaction: “We both know that if Obama had not said what he said, he would never get elected.”
  • “We have never apologized for slavery. We have never apologized for Japan.”
  • On the Government created AIDS: Have you read “Medical Apartheid”? I read different things.. Cites the Tuskeegee Experiments. “I believe our government is capable of doing anything.”

Juan Williams on Fox News said that Reverend Wright confirmed the worst.

From Team Obama: Obama strategist Axelrod speaks to MSNBC prior to speech, says campaign has no control over Wright and his media blitz. Admits this isn’t helpful to Obama. Video here.

Barack Obama now has no choice but to strongly REPUDIATE Jeremiah Wright. If not, he is DONE.

Flap cannot understand why a fifteen year old female would either want or be allowed to pose in this fashion?

Fifteen years old, topless and wrapped in what appears to be a satin bedsheet in the June issue of Vanity Fair. Did Miley Cyrus, with the help of a controversy-courting magazine, just deliver a blow to the Walt Disney Company’s billion-dollar “Hannah Montana” franchise?

Some parents reacted with outrage over the weekend when the television program “Entertainment Tonight” began showing commercials promoting a scoop: Ms. Cyrus, the star of the wholesome Disney Channel blockbuster “Hannah Montana,” had posed topless, albeit with her chest covered, for the Vanity Fair photographer, Annie Leibovitz.

Is there something about fame, wealth and self-destructive behavior? But, where are her parents, mentors, peers?
A blogger friend Lin Burress has the RIGHT take on the matter.

Unbelievable…….

Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., passes a collection basket during a church service at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Sunday, April 27, 2008.

With the William Ayers and Jeremiah Wright FLAPS, Barack Obama has been portrayed as a snobbish leftist radical who disdains white working class Americans.

Team Obama responds, shifts his style and the media notices. Obama now wants to be “one of us.”
But, let’s look at the Indiana polls.

Hillary begins her full court press for Indiana votes today. With the demographics and Obama’s recent history, Flap sees a Clinton victory in Indiana.

The Clinton Cabal will drive the meme that Obama is NOT “one of us.”

The race will then continue onward towards June and the catastrophic showdown with the Democrat Superdelegates after June 3rd.

Speaking about Beta, the latest and last Service Pack #3 for Windows XP is released today. Will XP live on?

Doubtful

But Microsoft had better “FIX” Vista or Apple will expand its already growing market share.
