A month previously, Palin had said: “As for that V.P. talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the V.P. does every day?” Palin offhandely asked CNBC Anchor Larry Kudlow in July. After she was announced as McCain’s presumptive running mate, she stated that she does not believe that climate change is man-made. Yuppers, Palin knows the energy crisis well, even if her claim on "Charlie Rose" that Alaska's untapped resources can significantly ease it is unsupported by the facts. Palin initially expressed support for the Gravina Island Bridge project,commonly known outside the state as the “Bridge to Nowhere.” However, once it had become a nationwide symbol of wasteful earmark spending and federal funding was lost, Palin decided against filling the $320 million gap with state money.
