Much of his convention speech, and the subject of his 1995 memoir “Dreams From My Father,†focused on his diverse family. Born in Hawaii on Aug. 4, 1961, Obama was the son of a mother from Kansas and a father from Kenya who left to study economics at Harvard, and then returned to Kenya, seeing his son just once afterwards. Obama was raised by his mother’s parents. In 2006, he visited his father’s mother in Kenya.
Kos this morning posted a copy of Barack Obama’s birth certificate (“certification of live birth”). Flap’s and Geraghty’s questions have been answered.
Flap continues to be surprised why Team Obama did not release the document when Obama first filed for office.
One would think…..

Former Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder and Pardon Attorney Roger Adams testify on the pardon that former President Clinton gave to Marc Rich during a Senate Judiciary Hearing February 14, 2001 in Washington DC
Now that James Johnson has resigned as a member of Barack Obama’s Vice President search committee, Flap wonders why a character like Eric Holder continues to serve in the same capacity?
In a new book about Bill Clinton, Clinton in Exile by Chicago author Carol Felsenthal, Holder — then the No. 2 man in the Clinton Justice Department, with responsibility for pardons — was seen as “so ambitious to be attorney general in the expected Gore administration” that he “played ball” with a Gore confidant, Jack Quinn, who was Rich’s lawyer. Felsenthal wrote that Holder ”adamantly denies there was any secret deal.”
Several people I talked to in Obama’s orbit were surprised that Obama tapped Johnson. For a candidate running on a change platform and against Washington, Johnson is an insider’s insider. He vetted vice presidential contenders for Walter Mondale in 1984 and John Kerry in 2004.
Alex Conant, spokesman for the Republican National Committee, said if Obama “is concerned his campaign’s ties to special interests are distracting from his VP search and message, why is Eric Holder still on his search committee,” adding “Obama’s hypocritical attacks show he can’t stand up to his own standard — and that he just isn’t ready to make change.”
As Chris Muir said in an earlier comment, PLUS CA CHANGE.

Jodie Evans being arrested at the Republican National Committee, September 2, 2004
Shocker!
Another LEFTY RADICAL is raising money for Barack Obama.
A co-founder of the anti-war group Code Pink, which has made a name for itself by interrupting hearings on Capitol Hill, is a fundraising bundler for Barack Obama.
Jodie Evans has pledged to raise at least $50,000 for Obama, according the Democrat’s campaign site.
According to research being circulated by GOP sources, Evans has a record of inflammatory statements such as saying that women were better off in Iraq under Saddam Hussein, “Men are dying in their Hummers in Iraq so you can drive around in yours” and, my favorite, that the invasion of Iraq amounted to “global testosterone poisoning.”
Ed Morrissey has a lot MORE.
Listen to Evans on Osama Bin Laden:
Is this type of radical Obama wants associated with his campaign? And, raising money for HIS CAMPAIGN?
Obviously, the associations are starting to pile up for the Senator who is the “most liberal” in the United States Senate.
Bill Ayers
Bernardine Dohrn
Father Michael Pfleger
Jeremiah Wright
Look at this photo:

Maybe Obama should just form a campaign group – VIOLENT RADICALS FOR OBAMA and be done with it?
What does this say about Obama’s character and judgment. Is this who the American people want cavorting around the White House with the President of the United States?
