The same sort of campaign was once leveled against interracial couples. Thankfully we have moved past that dark period in our history and we will (God willing) move past this one as well.

That is your problem. You think that over two hundred thirty years of American history is a dark period, simply because Americans defined marriage as between one man and one woman.

It saddens me to read editorials like this. I just don’t understand all the animosity towards people who just want the same rights as the rest of the citizens of this great nation.

And how can people be labeled as “opponents of marriage” when all they want is to be able to get married?
