Check out the PRESUMPTUOUS candidate’s head rest on his campaign plane. A little arrogant, you say?
Obama’s section of the plane rivals that of any first class. Recently the front cabin of the Boeing 757 was retrofitted to install four individual chairs that resemble La-Z-Boys. They are free-standing and made of plush leather with pockets on the sides. There is also a booth which seats four for a meeting or a meal.
His chair has his name and campaign logo embroidered on the back top — “Obama ‘08†on one line and “President†underneath. To one side is a small table stacked with newspapers ready for the candidate’s arrival. The table of the booth is always covered in snacks and cheese and is where Obama spends most of his time during flights meeting with staff and sitting for the occasional interview.
Obama ’08 President Head Rest
Check out the interior of this Boeing 757. Wonder if Obama’s grassroots donors from the internet know they are paying for this?
Flap supposes nothing is too good for “The One.”

+++++House GOP Protest Update+++++
Watch here

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is seen in Tehran August 2, 2008. The United States said on Sunday that Iran has left the U.N. Security Council no choice but to increase sanctions on the Islamic Republic for ignoring demands that it halt sensitive nuclear activities
No shock here with, again, Iran demonstrating its desire to continue on its nuclear weapons development program.
Iran said on Saturday it would not back down “one iota” in its nuclear row with major powers, voicing defiance on the day of an informal deadline set by the West over Tehran’s disputed atomic ambitions.
Western officials gave Tehran two weeks from July 19 to respond to their offer to hold off from imposing more U.N. sanctions on Iran if it froze any expansion of its nuclear work.
That would suggest a deadline of Saturday but Iran, which has repeatedly ruled out curbing its nuclear activities, dismissed the idea of having two weeks to reply.
The West accuses Iran of seeking to build nuclear warheads under cover of a civilian power program. Iran, the world’s fourth-largest oil producer, denies the charge.
“In whichever negotiation we take part … it is unequivocally with the view to the realization of Iran’s nuclear right and the Iranian nation would not retreat one iota from its rights,” President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said.
And, the United States plus Europe will persue new sanctions ad nauseum.
Flap does not think Israel will wait much longer.

Day by Day by Chris Muir
As House Republicans return to the Congress this morning to talk about gas prices, Michigan Republicans will be distributing tire gauges at Barack Obama’s energy speech in Lansing. Remember Obama said last week the solution to high energy prices was to “inflate your tires.”
Flap will be twittering the House GOP guerilla protests of Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s refusal to debate a new energy bill.
Sign the petition:
United States Congress,
On August 1st, 2008, We The People were hoping to see our Congress take action to relieve the burden of high energy costs for American consumers. As you know, sky rocketing fuel prices are causing stress on virtually every aspect of our lives. It is the duty of our elected representatives to find solutions.
However, the events of August 1st, led by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat Colleagues, have shown that many of our representatives are putting self interests before the welfare of the American people. Indeed, the Democrat majority in Congress shut down Capital Hill before holding a vote on the energy bill. In fact, the majority leadership appeared to take extreme measures to stifle any and all discussion related to energy on the House floor, including shutting off lights, cameras, and microphones to ensure that our Representatives’ voices would not be heard by the public.
We find this to be an outrage, and an insult to the American democratic process. We strongly urge you to remain in session until votes have been cast on energy legislation. As our elected representatives, it is your duty to serve the citizens of this great country, and we expect you to do your jobs with the dedication and perseverance most American workers demonstrate each day with their own jobs and families. We call on you to immediately convene a session and provide a respectful bipartisan forum to make progress on one of the most important problems facing our country- a lack of energy independence.
Finding a solution to our energy crises is a priority for us. There for, we demand it be a priority for you as well.
