But, Obama himself played the race card and blatantly uses race to win votes – first in the primary campaign against Hillary Clinton and now with registration drives in African American enclaves in the South. So, who is Obama kidding?

    Could be the other way round, if the McCain camp does things properly. I mean, they could use race to peel away white males without letting him build up even more African American support. For that, I think they’ll have to drop the race issue and focus on bashing Obama as a traditional liberal elitist.

    Interestingly, the Clintons (Bill in particular) were quick to point out when Obama was playing the race card on them. Unfortunately, no one in the media cared. Obama would prefer to run against a strawman (the racist, bigoted America he sees) than a real opposition candidate.
