News item: Georgia ‘overrun’ by Russian troops as full-scale ground invasion begins

While President Bush is hanging out with the American athletes in China, Vladimir Putin heads to North Ossetia to lead the invasion of American supporting democratic Georgia.

Now, the President warns Russia to pull back in Georgia.

A little late to the dance – as usual for Bush.

Not good.

The United States must take serious action against the Russians, including Russian expulsion from the G-8, exclusion from the World Trade Organization and acceleration of missile defense systems in Poland and Czech Republic. NATO should immediately invite Ukraine to apply for NATO membership and fast track the acceptance into the organization.

Meanwhile, the United States should immediately initiate trade sanctions, including bank sanctions with the Russians and tighten visa requirements to travel to the United States.

And, if Bush cannot raise to the task then he should get out of the way and let Dick Cheney run the country.

As if Barack Obama wasn’t inexperienced enough in foreign policy, now he is accepting pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel foreign policy advice from actor George Clooney – at least twice a week.

Do American voters REALLY want George Clooney influencing American foreign policy? A question certainly to be asked of Obama who struggles with his own inexperience in the area and his problem with Jewish voters.

And, where in the world is NATO in all of this conflict?

Will the United States and Europeans allow Russia to get away with this blatant aggression to a Western ally?

Howard Wolfson, former Hillary Clinton for President campaign communications director whines that John Edwards cost Hillary the Presidential nomination to ABC News.

The Clinton Cabal is still trying to “PAINT” Obama as an illegitimate nominee.

However, it is certain the Clintons knew about Edwards’ affair and at the time were happy to use Edwards to divide the radical left wing of the Democrat Party. If Edwards had been a threat, believe Flap, the Clintons would have used it.

So, nice try Hillary.

…. there are at least two glaring questions that suggest Edwards’ explanation consists of additional lies. (Besides his claim that the affair started after she was hired by his PAC, and not before, which appears to be contradicted by the PAC billing records.)

If the affair ended in 2006, why were Edwards and Hunter meeting in the Beverly Hills Hilton from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. last month? Beyond that… if the child is not his, why did she bring the baby to their late-night meeting?

The official Edwards explanation is that he met, without telling Elizabeth, for a secret meeting at a luxury hotel room from 9:45 p.m to 2:40 p.m., in order to not have sex, while a friend took care of the child in a room several doors down (according to the Enquirer’s account), and that after they had spent time together in the room not having sex, he told her, “hey, let’s bring in your infant that I am not the father of, I would be happy to caress the adorable little child that I did not sire.” Because philanderers are legendarily concerned about the offspring of their ex-mistresses.

John Edwards is finished politically. There is absolutely NO WAY he would be named Vice President, Attorney General or anything within the Democrat Party or government.

The Clintons hate him for costing Hillary the nomination – remember Iowa and Obama would NEVER touch him – remember Henry Cisneros.
