Barack Obama and William Ayers – “They’re Friends. So What?”

“Bill Ayers—I’ve said this—his father was a great friend of my father,” the mayor said. “I’ll be very frank. Vietnam divided families, divided people. It was a terrible time of our country. People didn’t know one another. Since then, I’ll be very frank, [Ayers] has been in the forefront of a lot of education issues and helping us in public schools and things like that.”
The mayor expressed his frustrations with outside agitators like Kurtz.
“People keep trying to align himself with Barack Obama,” Daley said. “It’s really unfortunate. They’re friends. So what? People do make mistakes in the past. You move on. This is a new century, a new time. He reflects back and he’s been making a strong contribution to our community.” (emphasis Flap’s)
So what?
Well, how about for one, Bill Ayers is unrepentant for his radical bombing of government buildings. Remember what Ayers said: “I don’t regret setting bombs…. I feel we didn’t do enough.”
And, this: “Gulity as Sin, Free as a Bird, It’s a great country.”

Barack Obama Rips McCain for His Houses
Barack Obama is up with a new ad that exploits a McCain statement that he did not know how many houses he owned.Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said in an interview Wednesday that he was uncertain how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own.
“I think — I’ll have my staff get to you,” McCain told Politico in Las Cruces, N.M. “It’s condominiums where — I’ll have them get to you.”
The correct answer is at least four, located in Arizona, California and Virginia, according to his staff. Newsweek estimated this summer that the couple owns at least seven properties.
In recent weeks, Democrats have stepped up their effort to caricature McCain as living an outlandishly rich lifestyle — a bit of payback to the GOP for portraying Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) as an elitist, and for turning the spotlight in 2004 on the five homes owned by Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) and his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry.

So, what is next for Team Obama? Class warfare? Penis envy?
Is Obama saying that John McCain is wealthy? Is this a crime? Is the Senator’s wife, Cindy McCain’s inherited wealth somehow dirty?
And, when will someone ask Barry about the sweetheart employment deal his wife, Michelle received at the hospital that benefited from his Senate earmarks or his land deal with convicted felon and Democrat Party fundraiser Tony Rezko?

Does a guy who worries about the price of arugula and thinks regular people ‘cling’ to guns and religion in the face of economic hardship really want to have a debate about who’s in touch with regular Americans?â€

Barack Obama is falling in the polls especially with the female demographic which was attracted to Hillary Clinton. Will this mean Obama will name her as Vice President?In the meantime, the PUMAS are planning demonstrations at the Democrat National convention in Denver. However, Hillary has created a “whip team” to quell the embarassing anti-Obama convention moments.
The team, which is being organized by longtime Clinton staffer Craig Smith, is working in conjunction with Obama’s floor organizers to help foster the image of a unified front during a roll-call process Clinton herself has described as an emotional “catharsis” for her disappointed supporters.
“If people get down there on the floor and want to start blowing kazoos and making a scene we want to make sure we’ve got people who stand in front of them with Obama signs,” said a person involved in the planning.
“Is it typical for a losing candidate to have their own whip team? No. But it’s also not usual for a losing candidate to get 18 million votes either,” said the person.
Of course, a Hillary choice as Vice President would assure peace at the convention but at what price for Barack?

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger went public Wednesday with yet another state budget proposal, one that he said reflects a true compromise between Republican and Democratic goals for a spending plan.
The proposal includes a three-year, one-cent increase in the sales tax, an effort to build a bigger state savings account for rainy days, and more spending cuts than he proposed when he released his last set of ideas in May.
