Sarah Palin Watch: Readers Dumping Us Magazine Over Palin Cover

usmagazinewithsarahpalin

Us Magazine is in trouble with subscribers angry over the above Us magazine cover. In fact, thousands are cancelling their subscriptions.

Three celebrity weeklies — OK!, People and Us Weekly — featured Sarah Palin on their cover, but one of those magazines is reportedly losing subscribers because of it.

Us Weekly, which unlike People and OK!, chose a rather caustic cover line (“Babies, Lies and Scandal”) is said to have lost thousands of subscribers in just the first 24 hours following the printing of the issue.

“I’m hearing it’s 5,000, maybe more,” says one well-placed source in the industry. Another source claimed that as many as 10,000 readers have already cancelled their subscriptions.

Is this surprising? The cover is biased crap that has no basis in reality. Why would anyone want to “PAY” to read this magazine.

Michelle Malkin has reader letters canceling their subscriptions and responses by Us Magazine desperately begging readers to stay.

Flap says Us Magazine readers must keep up the good work and cancel their subscriptions.

Now, about Oprah?

Check out the fine print by her baby, Trig…see what it says?
“Palin and newborn trig AFFLICTED with down syndrome”….and just when I thought they couldn’t be more loathsome!
    Afflicted?
Maybe “Us” should stop “afflicting” the American public’s eyes with their trash, hmmm?

I love how this Country will find anyway they can to pass judgement of a political canidate. I would really like to know how anyone one of us can pass judgement on someone’s person family life. The fact that Sarah Palin’s 17 yr old daughter is pregnant, and her 18 yr old future son-in-laws comments on his myspace page have anything to do with the way Sarah Palin and John McCain plan to lead this Country. Which one of us can honestly say that at 17 yrs old reguardless of what our parents values or how we were raised never did anything against the better judgement of our moral/political or religious beliefs. I have respect for the fact that Bristol had enough respect for herself and for her parents to be honest about her situation and go to her parents for help, and made the mature decision to follow through with her situation and not take the easy way out. To me that means more than the public situation that is unfortunately created for her now. One of the best things about this country is the fact that we have the right to make our own decisions despite what may or may not be politically correct. John McCain and his wife and family and his choice for his VP are without a DOUBT what this country needs and has needed for a very long time. It’s not about fancy schools and degrees, and fake smiles and sugar-coated promises. This country wants everything without having to go through anything to get it, come on are we that nieve. There is no man or women on this planet that should be more respected than a person who is willing to risk there own lives for another person or thier country. There is no greater being than our Lord and the way we live our lives means more than the mistakes we make along the way, we’re human and no one is perfect. This team is the most real, straight forward, geniunely honest team I’ve ever had the pleasure to follow. As far as I’m concerned if you look to good in the public eye there’s more hidden than what we should be willing to find out after it’s too late. McCain/Palin have my Vote, without a doubt!!!!

Well, I usually never pick up those rags in the store, but did this time. I actually said to myself, not one hour ago, that I would think about buying Us magazine now. The pictures of Palin show how un-classy she truly is. The stuff about the pregnancy ‘scandal’ is almost plausible. Ladies . . . hopping an eight hour flight after your water has broken with child number 5???? Please!!! Did she WANT to risk that baby’s life after all?

GO US WEEKLY!!! Palin is cheap.

Is trash like this acceptable? NO. But it sure didn’t bother anyone when pictures of Obama appeared all over the net in his TALI BAN outfit, did it? That picture was taken on a visit to Africa!!!! If I put on an apron, does that make me a cook?

Obama has been on the hot seat for 18 months. Surely The Baracuda can take a week of it?

There is so much outrage over the “smear” but I would like to see if anyone is able to defend what are established facts: 1) Palin at more than 6 months pregnant had no sign of bump, 2) after she took two plane trips for 12 hrs (TX-WA then WA-AK) and then drove 45 mins to a tiny clinic 3) the clinic publishes all births on their website – but there is no entry for Trig. Beyond the pregnancy stuff, she is an egregious policy maker 1) She left tiny Wasilla which had no debt with $22M (million) in debt after her term was done 2) she kept our tax dollars on the bridge to nowhere (she said “no thanks”after it became unpopular after pushing for it initially) and handed the money out to her constituents and environmentally she shoots wolves from helicopters and tried to sue the EPA for protecting the polar bear. Come on, people, wake up!

The word afflicted was enough to cancel my readership of US SmutMagazine forever (and I will no longer even view their website). I have a child with Down syndrome and he is not afflicted with anything — he’s a happy, outgoing third grader trying to figure out how to make summer last forever…
