Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama at last year’s Democrat Presidential debate in South Carolina

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin thinks Barack Obama now regrets not selecting Hillary Clinton as his Vice Presidential running mate.

“I think he’s regretting not picking her now, I do. What, what determination, and grit, and even grace through some tough shots that were fired her way — she handled those well,” the Alaska governor told Charles Gibson in her third and final exclusive interview with ABC News.

You think?

Obama had an opportunity to get the Clinton’s on board for this campaign by asking Hillary to join the ticket and to ACTUALLY pay off her personal campaign debts by having his donors give large.

Obama did neither and is sinking like a rock in the polls with white women voters.

And so she reels in even more Hillary supporters. Driving a wedge between the Clintons and Obama is a good idea as it is, and when Palin does it, it looks even more authentic. Darn, I still can’t believe McCain pulled this off.

  2. McGehee says:

He had to have been watching the Clinton-Obama feud closely and seen that those who would become the PUMAs had some basis for being PO’d at BO.

Fortunately, Palin seems to be a hat trick: (1) a genuine regular American with (2) conservative principles who (3) sends the Obamarrhoids off the deep end in every way that puts them in the worst possible light. I have little doubt #3 was a fairly high consideration in making this pick.

Suits me — #1 and #2 would be enough to get my vote, and #3 is just icing on the cake.

[...] it will take weeks for that scenario to play out, the lull when they perhaps start moving on to the stories that are somewhat positive (since they will have exhausted the negative, and new narratives and stories are what drives them [...]

  4. F-Zero says:

Why would Obama choose Hillary? They were running attack ads against each other. She explicitly stated numerous times he wasnt qualified. It would hypocritcal on so many levels.

  5. Babsy says:

But F-Zero, hypocrisy is what the lib-tard, dumbocRATs do so well! They love to have no standards and it shows!

  6. Flap says:

    @ 4

Obama should have swallowed his gigantic pride and selected Hillary. Attack ads in a primary election are easily excused and forgotten.

“The One” wanted the prize all to himself and is now in danger of losing it all.

    Oh Well….

  7. Babsy says:

It isn’t just pride or the satisfaction one gets from knowing you did your best work and got a great result, Obama is plagued with the pathological arrogance that is the hallmark of the ‘Caring People’. John McCain will be the next President of the United States.

  8. Investools Review says:

I bet Obama is beating his head in right now for not picking Hillary. What was he thinking? Not only is she a female that would capture all of there votes, she is a Clinton! He really messed up on this one.

    Christian

    Looks like you were premature.

  10. Investools News says:

Ultimately he made the right choice and any Hillary supporter should be happy to have her as Secretary of State (holds some power and sway) instead of Vice President (how did McCain put it? There only duty is to check in on the President’s health).
