Sarah Palin Watch: The Supreme Court Case Non-Answer

Alaska governor Sarah Palin interviewed by CBS’ Katie Couric

    The transcript:

COURIC: What other Supreme Court decisions [than Roe v. Wade] do you disagree with?

PALIN: Well, let’s see. There’s –of course –in the great history of America rulings there have been rulings, that’s never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are–those issues, again, like Roe v Wade where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know–going through the history of America, there would be others but–

COURIC: Can you think of any?

PALIN: Well, I could think of–of any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level. Maybe I would take issue with. But you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a Vice President, if I’m so privileged to serve, wouldn’t be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today.

Why was Alaska Governor Sarah Palin unable to answer the question?

    A. Senior Moment

    B. Stage Fright

    C. Not an attorney

    D. Ignorant

    E. No experience in legal issues

    F. Doesn’t Care

    G. Practicing her flute instead of reading WestLaw

    Readers answer in comments below.

All Flap knows is that he is not very optimistic about tomorrow night’s debate. But, Flap has been wrong before.

It is do or die for Sarah Palin tomorrow night. She either acquits herself of this inability to answer these questions and moves on to become a national political star or she fades away as a footnote in history.

    Update:

But, then again, THIS Sarah Palin as in her Alaska Governor’s debates could show up tomorrow night:

Just a Little Election Fraud for Obama in Ohio

From September 30 through October 6, Ohioans can both register to vote and cast ballots in the same day. Many are seeing this “Golden Week” as a golden opportunity to get new voters. Palestra.net’s Shelby Holliday has the story in Columbus

Soren Dayton has the poop on this innovative way to obtain Ohio votes for Obama.

Early voting is taking place in Ohio. Through the end of the week, people can register and vote on the same day. The Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner argues that they are merely “casting their ballot” rather than “voting” so the fact that Ohio statute requires 30 days between registering and voting would not interfere.

So here is what is happening today. People are showing up to register and vote. There is no affirmative evidence that these people have not registered or voted somewhere else. There is no control. Normally in an election, partisan election monitors are allowed into polling places so that they can police each other. But not in two counties, Franklin and Montgomery, in Ohio. Brunner also issued an advisory opinion to counties saying that they are not required to allow election monitors.

The Republican Party of Ohio should immediately run to federal court and stop this BS. Flap thought there were laws about buying votes or promising derelicts drinks or something like that…..

    Guess not in Ohio.

Sarah Palin Watch: Media Strategy Shift

Sarah Palin on feminism, abortion, evolution, homosexuality

About damn time Team McCain allows Sarah Palin be Sarah Palin.

In the meantime, McCain-Palin has fallen in the polls among women voters.

Flap remembers the first debate between President Ronald Reagan and Walter Mondale when Reagan’s handlers so stuffed the President with facts and figures he looked uncharacteristically wooden. He was not himself. The same could be said of Palin with her Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric interviews.

Tomorrow night’s debate will be crucial for the GOP to get Palin back on track and on message.

Tom McClintock Opens Up 8 Point Lead in California’s 4th Congressional District Race

Republican California State Senator Tom McClintock’s latest campaign ad: “Charlie Brown Was There”

Tom McClintock has opened up an 8 point lead among likely voters in his race for California’s 4th Congressional District.

Likely voters gave Republican Tom McClintock an eight point advantage over Democrat Charlie Brown in the race for the congressional seat in the 4th Congressional District. The poll was conducted by veteran pollster Val Smith, Ph.D.  A telephone survey of high-propensity registered voters within the 4th Congressional District was conducted between the dates of Sept 22 and Sept 24, 2008. The sample size of 400 yields a sampling error of less than +/- 5.0%.

McClintock’s lead rose to a 53% to 39% margin when respondents were read campaign messages from both Brown and McClintock.

    The poll is here.

With the selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain’s Vice Presidential running mate the GOP base in this Northern California and GOP dominated Congressional district will turn out and vote for Tom McClintock.

This “safe” Republican seat looks secure with McClintock.

Video: New Footage Exposes Joe Biden’s LIE Saying He was SHOT AT in Iraq

In December 2005, Joe Biden traveled to Iraq, spending a night in Baghdad’s Green Zone.

Why is Joe Biden getting a “PASS” on his Iraq War LIES? Hillary Clinton didn’t, now did she?

When Hillary Clinton told a tall tale about “landing under sniper fire” in Bosnia, she was accused of “inflating her war experience” by rival Democrat Barack Obama’s campaign.

But the campaign has been silent about Obama’s running mate, Joe Biden, telling his own questionable story about being “shot at” in Iraq.

“Let’s start telling the truth,” Biden said during a presidential primary debate sponsored by YouTube last year. “Number one, you take all the troops out – you better have helicopters ready to take those 3,000 civilians inside the Green Zone, where I have been seven times and shot at. You better make sure you have protection for them, or let them die.”

But when questioned about the episode afterward by the Hill newspaper, Biden backpedaled from his claim of being “shot at” and instead allowed: “I was near where a shot landed.”

The senior senator from Delaware went on to say that some sort of projectile “landed” outside a building in the Green Zone where he and another senator had spent the night during a visit in December 2005. The lawmakers were shaving in the morning when they felt the building shake, Biden said.

“No one got up and ran from the room-it wasn’t that kind of thing,” he told the Hill. “It’s not like I had someone holding a gun to my head.”

The fact is the MSM has given Joe Biden a PASS and along with his continuing PLAGIARISM should be at issue in tomorrow night’s Vice Presidential debates.

But, will it be asked by a moderator, Gwen Ifill who is already in the tank for Barack Obama?

And, Joe how about telling us about your helicopter that was forced down in Afghanistan, won’t you?

    Stay tuned…….

Sarah Palin Watch: Debunking the Wasilla Rape Kit Charges in Palin’s Own Words

    +++++Update+++++

Why is the Boston Globe perpetuating the outright LIES?

Call or write them and let you know hat you think of this faux journalism:

The Globe’s phone is 617-929-2000; letter@globe.com . Corrections are urged to be sent to comments@globe.com and the listed phone number is 617-929-8230.

    rape kit

A sample Rape Kit (click graphic to enlarge)

Flap previously debunked this outright LIE by Democrat operatives earlier but there is more – Sarah Palin’s outright denial.

    Key Graph from the Frontiersman:

Gov. Sarah Palin, the GOP vice presidential nominee, agreed to a request by her hometown newspaper, the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, for an interview by providing written responses via e-mail to the following questions.

The responses here were not edited and are preceded by the verbatim questions posed to her.

    • 6. During your tenure as mayor in 2000, then police chief Charlie Fannon commented in a May 23, 2000 Frontiersman article about legislation Gov. Tony Knowles signed protecting victims of sexual assault from being billed for rape kits collected by police as part of their investigations. Fannon revealed then that Knowles’ decision would cost Wasilla $5,000 to $14,000 a year, insinuating that the department’s policy was to bill victims for this testing. During your tenure as Mayor, what was the police department and city’s standard operating procedure in recovering costs of rape kits? Were any sexual assault victims ever charged for this testing while you were mayor?
    • Sarah Palin’s answer: “The entire notion of making a victim of a crime pay for anything is crazy.  I do not believe, nor have I ever believed, that rape victims should have to pay for an evidence-gathering test. As governor, I worked in a variety of ways to tackle the problem of sexual assault and rape, including making domestic violence a priority of my administration.”

Sarah Palin has now addressed the issue head on. The left can either prove her a liar or shut the frak up.

Flap bets it won’t be that easy as does Rusty.

    Say Good Bye Gwen Ifill

    Gwen-I-Conflict-of-Interest

    Say Good Night Gracie.

What a disgrace that the Commission on Presidential debates did NOT vett Gwen Ifill as the moderator of the Thursday Vice Presidential debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. Or did they decide this is NOT a conflict of interest?

    Michelle has more.

Ask the Commission on Presidential Debates if she will acknowledge her conflict of interest: 202-872-1020.

And here’s the e-mail address of Janet H. Brown, Executive Director of the Debates Commission: jb@debates.org

If you think Ifill is NOT biased watch this video and remove all doubt.

Gwen Ifill comments on Sarah Palin’s speech at the Republican national convention

Gwen Ifill should be replaced post-haste as tomorrow night’s debate. Blame it on her ankle or a “conflict of interest” but remove her.
