Republican vice-presidential candidate, Gov. Sarah Palin, waves to supporters before a campaign speech Monday morning Oct. 6, 2008 in Clearwater, Fla

The gloves ARE Off.

Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott took the stage moments ago as one of the introductory speakers at a rally here for Sarah Palin. After delivering brief remarks in support of Palin, Sheriff Scott flipped the switch and used Barack Obama’s middle name in order to incite the crowd of thousands of people who have already gathered here.

“On Nov. 4, let’s leave Barack Hussein Obama wondering what happened,” the law enforcement officer said.

But, will it make ANY difference with the financial collapse sticking to McCain-Palin?

Time is running out as another national poll has Obama up by 8 points.

A sign of deperation by the McCain campaign. It does not look good with McCain getting hit in the face with the financial meltdown. He must be specific and strong on how he will tackle the our economic problems.

So far McCain has been a terrible candidate.

  3. Flap says:

McCain will have to be stellar in tomorrow night’s debate and Obama will have to make a mistake in order for McCain to get back into this race.

You are right. He has not been a good candidate.

Time for the GOP to have a new generation of leadership.

  4. Ling says:

Crunch time for McCain, I think. He has to make something happen in the debate, otherwise the ads aren’t going to be enough to pull back Obama. Saw an electoral college map on the Washington Post which shows Obama above 300.

  5. Michael Ejercito says:

You are right. He has not been a good candidate.

McCain is as good a candidate as John Kerry was.

But one must wonder why people would think Obama could fix the financial crisis.

    @4 Ling

Tonight’s debate is make or break for McCain - just as Palin’s debate was for the ticket last week. He must force Obama to give details as to what he will do for the economy and fund his spending plans.

  7. Michael Ejercito says:

And he should ask about Obama’s experience in fiscal and monetary policy.

Thank goodness McCain and Palin are finally taking off the gloves. Like millions of Americans I’ve awaited the truth, while feeling frustration watching Obama get a free ride. Subjects like Wright, Farrakhan, Pfleger, Rezko, Ayers, and others, seem to have been off limits for discussion, when they go to the core of who Obama is. In defense of Obama, the media treats him like a sacred cow, and implies that since these subjects were visited at one time, they’re not fair game to revisit … but, why not? Like millions of Americans I’ve never been comfortable with Obama attending Jeremiah Wright’s church for TWENTY YEARS … suddenly quitting for political expediency, and then claiming that he never heard the racist, anti-American sermons going on there. Also, the Trintity church website has since sanitized it’s previous links on the ‘Black Values System’ … and, the ‘Black Liberation Theology’ which Obama sworn an oath to for TWENTY YEARS.

Agreed. And, the specifics besides a phony middle class tax cut.
