Day By Day by Chris Muir

Remember the history of Soledad O’Brien. She left the Weekend Today Show to join CNN. You know, NBC and NBC News – ALL LEFT ALL Of THE TIME. But O’Brien’s false claims about Sarah Palin at CNN have been egregious.

O’Brien drew criticism from FactCheck.org on September 8, 2008, for making a false assertion during an interview with a McCain campaign spokesperson, claiming that vice presidential candidate Palin, as the governor in Alaska, had slashed the special education budget by 62%,[12][13] when, in fact, she had increased it.[14][15][16] O’Brien was also criticized for these claims by other sources,[17][18][19][20][21] including the McCain/Palin campaign.[22]O’Brien later made another false claim, which was cited as an example of media bias in CNN, when she polled the 32 ‘persuadable’ voters by asking them to indicate, by a show of hands, who they thought won the vice-presidential debate of 2008. O’Brien called the vote an “overwhelming” victory for Biden, however the actual result was reportedly “11 or 12 for Palin, 12 or 13 for Biden (some people are hard to see)”. [23]

And, the same goes for Campbell Brown of CNN. She was a former co-anchor of NBC’s Weekend Today and the daughter of a former Louisiana Democrat State Senator, Secretary of State and Insurance Commissioner.

NBC and CNN are unabashed left-wing homes for BIASED journalists.

    So, what else is new?

She told the crowd: "Sarah Palin can't come to my party. Sarah Palin can't come to my show. It's nothing personal,"

And this outburst against the Republican party is not the first for Madge.

On her current tour she used John McCain's image in a video clip alongside scences of destruction, global warming, starving children and Adolf Hitler.

Guess Flap won't go to see Madonna either.
Screw her and the rest of the left wing entertainers who make their art political.

    • One of the steps that Herbert and Marion Sandler have taken to impress the leftist vision on America was to start something called ProPublica with a $10 million donation, a sum which they promise to replenish annually.

This is an outfit that will engage in investigative journalism and will provide its "findings" to larger media outlets for greater impact at no cost.

American Thinker was among the first outlets to express wariness over ProPublica and the approach it would take, given the ideology of its founding couple. Even Jane Mayer of The New Yorker described the Sandlers as hard-core partisans.

Other publications shared our concern about ProPublica.

Unsurprisingly, though, ProPublica has already shown that agenda-driven journalism is its founding principle. One of its first pieces of "investigative journalism" was an attack on the oil and gas industry for developing the Marcellus Shale, a vast natural gas reservoir located in the Northeastern United States, including Pennsylvan

    • Neither did Wachovia, apparently. Golden West was built on ARMs and these were what brought about the demise of Wachovia.

Adjustable rate mortgages feature low "teaser" rates that vary. The low rates make them seductive. But the potential for far higher rates makes them dangerous if not toxic. Perhaps some buyers thought the increase in home prices would bail them out: They could sell homes at a profit before the higher rates were triggered. When rates increased and housing prices declined, this was a losing proposition.

These types of mortgages were often sold to unsophisticated buyers and buyers who could not afford more traditional mortgages. Banks and savings and loans have been compelled to make real estate loans to inner-city and distressed communities under the Community Reinvestment Act, signed into law in 1977 by Jimmy Carter and strengthened by Bill Clinton in 1993.

    • Seems as if the players over at Saturday Night live might read American Thinker. This weekend they ran a skit that mentioned the fall of Wachovia, the finance crisis and the roles of Herb and Marion Sandler and George Soros (who they identified as the owner of the Democratic Party).

On September 29th, American Thinker published this article about the fall of Wachovia Bank and focused on the source of the problems: the bank's 24 billion dollar purchase of Golden West Financial, a California savings and loans chock full of ultra-risky adjustable rate mortgages. The sale netted the couple who long ran the savings and loan-Herb and Marion Sandler-over two billion dollars.

This windfall has enabled them to join with their ally, George Soros, to fund a vast spectrum of left-wing advocacy groups that have empowered the Democratic party and the candidacy of Barack Obama.

    • Largely ignored in this crisis is the key role played by Herbert and Marion Sandler, founders of Golden West Financial (GDW), one of the largest savings and loans in the nation. Wachovia purchased GDW for $24 billion dollars in 2006. This was one of the worst merger and acquisition deals of all time for the buyer, and remarkably excellent timing on the part of the seller. In essence, Wachovia bought a financial time bomb ticking away, one that exploded this year, bringing down yet another former financial titan and further wrecking Wall Street. [Update: see this commentary from Bllomberg on the role of GDW in the fall of Wachovia.]

Corsi, the author of the No. 1 best-selling book "The Obama Nation," was picked up by authorities at his hotel at 9:45 a.m. and is being detained at Nyayo House, the provincial headquarters for Nairobi.
