Flap knows California superintendent of Schools Jack O’Connell well. Jack taught in the Conejo Valley Unified School District for about two years before he became a left-wing Democrat career politician in the 1980’s. Today, a televison ad supporting gay marriage is released featuring Jack.
California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell voices his strong opposition to Prop 8 and the lies about the public education system.
But, you see Jack O’Connell wants to run for California Governor in 2010 and needs the support of the homosexual lobby to beat San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Jerry Brown in a crowded Democrat primary election.
ProtectMarriage.com - Yes on 8 General Counsel Andrew P. Pugno has sent the following letter to the California State Board of Education and Superintendent Jack O’Connell:
Ah Jack, Flap knows you really don’t believe in this gay marriage crap but you will do what you have to do to get elected when you are facing being termed out of office.
But, please, stop the lying and deception. You are better than this.

Good God.
What has the United States become.
A woman robbed at knifepoint at a Pittsburgh ATM told police her attacker knocked her down and carved a “B” in her face after noticing a John McCain sticker on her car.
Police say the victim refused medical attention for the wound. An officer saw the injury, but a police report does not describe its size or severity.
Authorities say the woman is from Texas, but aren’t identifying her.
Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richards says the woman was withdrawing money at 9 p.m. Wednesday when a man approached her from behind, put a knife to her neck and demanded money. She says she gave him $60.
The woman told police the robber then noticed the bumper sticker, punched her in the back of the head, knocked her down and carved a “B” on her face.
Video here.
The victim has been identified as Ashley Todd, a College Republican field representative.
Stay tuned……
Update:
Flap has to say he is skeptical too.
The smoking gun?: She declined medical treatment and the “B” looks very superficial.

An editorial from Hannah-Beth Jackson’s hometown newspaper:

Our Opinion: Can you believe what Jackson
says?
October 23, 2008 7:48 AM
Hannah-Beth Jackson spent her years in Sacramento as an Assembly member working to make life harder for California businesses and their owners. Creating jobs and economic security wasn’t her priority.
In fact, over the years, Ms. Jackson has tended to say her No. 1 priority is whatever is the prime interest of the particular group she’s before at the moment.
If she’s before environmental organizations, Ms. Jackson claims that protecting the environment is her biggest concern. If she’s before parents and teachers, Ms. Jackson says education is her highest concern. If she’s before crime victims and law enforcement agents, she maintains that public safety is on the top.
You get the picture.
But what’s never been Ms. Jackson’s top concern is helping local businesses and their workers. And, certainly, improving the economic prosperity of your family hasn’t been in the forefront of her mind when in Sacramento during her time as an Assembly member.
Ms. Jackson’s actions earned her the title of Taxin’ Jackson for her support of one idea to tax you after the next. The moniker stuck and entered common usage in Santa Barbara because of its accuracy.
Now Ms. Jackson wants to be in the state Senate.
As a state senator, you could expect Ms. Jackson to back or write legislation to increase taxes and fees for Californians.
She’s never demonstrated any will to downsize big government, even as the state faced billions of dollars in red ink.
Recall how Ms. Jackson in 2004 described her years as an Assembly member. As noted back then, in the style of George W. Bush, who during his re-election campaign couldn’t think of any mistakes he’d made as president, Ms. Jackson has said of her time in the Assembly: “It’s been an extraordinary run, and I wouldn’t have changed it for anything.”
During the Jackson years, our state went from a time of multibillion-dollar surpluses to multibillion-dollar deficits. Ms. Jackson, as our representative in Sacramento and member of the budget committee, shared culpability for this. Her habit of writing unnecessary bills added to the budget problems.
Ms. Jackson wants you to forget about her past.
Tony Strickland has rightly pointed out that Ms. Jackson has had no economic plan. The economy has been off the radar of this Montecito Democrat.
But now, suddenly, she says: “Strengthening our local economy will be my top priority in the state Senate.”
Do you believe it?
++++++++++
Well, they don’t call Hannah-Beth Jackson, Taxin’ Jackson for nothing………But -
There is an alternative - Republican Tony Strickland.
As you know Flap is supporting Republican Tony Strickland for the California State Senate.
Tony Strickland’s Facebook page is here.
Strickland’s California State Senate website is here.
And, while you are thinking about, go here and send Tony a few bucks to finance his media campaign.

Democrat Representative John Murtha of Pennsylvania
Michelle Malkin has a new poll that shows Republican Bill Russell beating long time incumbent Democrat Congressman John Murtha by 13 points.
A Pennsylvania source has just leaked me brand spanking new poll data showing GOP upstart Bill Russell leading John Murtha among over 800 probable voters by 48-35.
This comes on top of the Susquehanna poll showing Murtha ahead of Russell by 4 points, within the margin of error.
The new poll is from Dane and Associates, which surveyed over 800 probable voters, randomly selected to reflect the district makeup, on Wednesday night.
If you want to help elect the new GOP Congressman Bill Russell go here.

Flap ( Via Michelle Malkin) supposes these folks in San Jose got off cheaply enough compared to the death threats that these voters who support traditional marriage and California’s Proposition 8 received but what a civics lesson, eh?
At last, the SUV with the inflammatory slogans denouncing a San Jose family for supporting Proposition 8 is gone from Harwood Road.
“They came last night, washed the paint off and drove away,” said Bob Sundstrom, whose family incurred the wrath of two gay-marriage supporters after the family hung a huge banner on their garage in favor of the ballot measure banning same-sex marriage. “What a relief, I’m happy it’s gone.”
Sunday, two women in a Chevrolet Surbuban drove up in front of the Sundstrom’s home and painted the sport-utility vehicle’s windows with slogans accusing the devout Mormon family of seven of being “bigots” and “haters.” So for the next few days, the Sundstroms were forced to reckon with the eyesore. Police told them the vehicle would be towed away if was not moved in three days.
Tuesday evening, however, one of the women whom Sundstrom recognized from the previous encounter showed up, washed off the slogans and then left in the SUV.
“She wasn’t in the mood for conversation. It’s obvious we weren’t going to change each other’s view,” Sundstrom said. “She brought her own bucket to wash off the paint.”
The SUV is registered to Mara McWilliams and Renee Mangrum, who married in 2004 when San Francisco began performing gay marriages. Neither could be reached for comment.
McWilliams and Mangrum are real class acts and tried to chill the free speech guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution to the Sundstroms.
Shame on them.
Here is the photo:
After San Jose residents Michele and Bob Sundstrom placed a Yes on 8 banner on their home, they found this sport-utility vehicle parked in front of their home Sunday with anti-Proposition 8 slogans painted on the windows. (Josie Lepe / Mercury News)
Stay tuned…….

Remember the FLAP?
Flap gets the following via e-mail:
Flap,
For some reason, I do not understand, you seem to be on a vendetta aimed at me. I was alerted to your site by someone who suggested it is probably slanderous.
You obviously can publish anything that is public record. I certainly gave you enough references in my response that you can take out of context and make me look good or bad.
As to my being reappointed or not reappointed. We will never know for sure. You are welcome to your speculation. However, if I had stayed knowing about the cover-up of the deaths, I would be part of the problem. Once I knew; I felt obligated to do something. I left so I could expose what was going on.
Because of my two media exposures, one three years ago and one this year, of the problems of anesthesia the DQAC is about to pass, I was told in November, new anesthesia regulations to update the ones I helped formulate 15 years ago after the first death. I worked for 4 years on these new regulations.
You may feel all dentists suffer under an oath of silence. However, dental ethics has advanced beyond that.
Being a lifelong Democrat, it hurt me to go public, as it did reflect on our Democratic Governor who had been alerted by me to the problems.
Because of my public stance, I have had an oral surgeon tell a patient who needed an implant, “If he is so God Damned smart, why does he not do the implant. I want you to leave my office. I will not treat you.” She had found him on her own. He was already to do the implant until he told her I will put all this information in a letter to your general dentist. At this point he picked up her chart and realized I was her general dentist.
I am honored that you find me worthy of this much of your time.

Representative John Murtha (D-PA), October 15 and 20, 2008
Is John Murtha in trouble?
Two veteran warriors battling to represent the 12th Congressional District appear locked in the closest race in the district in years.
Democratic Rep. John Murtha leads retired Army Lt. Col. William Russell by a little more than 4 percentage points, within the Susquehanna Poll’s 4.9-point margin of error. The poll of 400 likely voters was conducted for the Tribune-Review on Tuesday, amid uproar over Murtha’s statement that some of his constituents are racist.
Appears so.
Time for Murtha to retire.
Change this seat to likely GOP pick-up.
