to prop8discussion regarding your “children have a right to a mom and a dad week.” what about a child just having two people who care, love & provide for them in all aspects of life. there are plenty of children who have a mom & a dad & they have a horrible childhood due to a plethora of reasons: physical, mental or emotional abuse, but at least they have a MOM & A DAD, right? come on – so ridiculous. Isn’t Prop 8 just another way to force your views & values onto someone else. How does a gay couple who are in love, getting married, have ANYTHING to do with you? How does it TRULY affect your life in any way? Again, it’s just a way to discriminate & FORCE your ideals onto others.

I am just wondering about the status on prop 8, if it has passed? For my opinion, which I try to make my opinions based on the bible perspective, main reason that i vote yes on prop 8 is of course what pbj says that whatever you want to call it, its not marriage, marriage is a man and woman together as one, God has stated many times in the bible. The bible does say something about homosexual: 1 corinthians 6:9-10 Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God (NLT version). Hello, i also want to know the status of prop 8, i have voted yes to pass 8 for one main reason which pbj sorta states, marriage was made for man and woman, one main statement is said in eph. 5:23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of his body, the church; he gave his life to be her Savior. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives must submit to your husbands in everything. also in 1 corinthians 7:1-2 NLT It is good for a man not to marry. But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband. As stated in the bible, god does not say anything that a man should be with a man or woman should be with a woman or else he would have stated in, instead it goes to say this in 1 corinthians 6:9-10 NLT Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? I believe god has blessed this great nation and because we started this nation on bible principals, but sadly now we are slowly moving away, we are seeing less and less of gods blessing, may i also add to that, in the end of our national anthem… ONE NATION, UNDER GOD. If it is a civil rights issue, we should allow incest and polygamy as well, right? What if 2 brothers want to marry? Where so we draw the line? I agree with civil Unions, not gay marriage.

This is not a civil rights issue. Choosing a lifestyle of homosexuality should not altar the law to benifit those who choose that life. If I choose to succomb to strong passions that cause me to harm my neighbor and thereby violate the law I am a criminal. Therefore the law is made to penalize and deter criminal behavior such as, murder, theft, oppression of people because of skin color, an issue (skin color) to which they are powerless to change. Strong sexual desire for someone of the same sex does not nullify the overwhelming evidence that God created you as a man or a woman. Sexuality is a choice to use the body as one sees fit. Homosexuality is a revolt against God and not the law of the land. It is a denial in the face of overwhelming evidence that you are created male or female, to deny the natural use of your body for what is unnatural. Choosing to use science to manipulate the hormones to be what you obviously were not created to be is denying Gods natural law. Even if you get your way with the law of the land the truth remains the same, you will continue in self deception and confusion harming yourself. The real freedom from the darkness of deception is found in embracing the reality that we are all sinners who desperately need God’s salvation in Christ.

Marriage=one man and one woman.

California is very important state, so these polls are very important.

So what? Those polls are not telling anything important.

This is a GOTV effort that has never been done in California before for a proposition.

Interesting, but really don’t know if it’s going to achieve something.
