Mike Huckabee,  Sarah Palin

Mike Huckabee Strikes Back at Sarah Palin Over Gibson and Couric Interviews

Huckabee Palin and McCain

The Mike Huckabee FANGS are out for Sarah Palin since her re-emergence on the national stage.

There are a lot of X factors [about running in 2012]. Including his fellow evangelical Christian Sarah Palin. There’s a natural tension between the two, especially since Palin took the vice-presidential-nominee slot many predicted would go to him. Huckabee, diplomatic and biblical, says the Alaskan governor “energized” the party. I ask him if she was treated fairly by the media. “There were a lot of unfair things. Sexist things that would never have been asked of a male candidate.” He pauses. “Now I must say I did not think that either the Charlie Gibson interview or the Katie Couric interviews were unfair. In fact, if anything, Katie Couric was extraordinarily gentle, even helpful. [Palin] just…I don’t know what happened. I can’t explain it. It was not a good interview. I’m being charitable.”

He pauses. “I think it was overpreparation. She’d been hammered by McCain’s aides, ‘Say this, don’t say that.’”

Huckabee has met Palin a few times and talked to her backstage at the Republican National Convention.

“Did you give her any advice?”

“I didn’t figure that she was shopping for my advice.”

“But she sure was shopping.”

“Yeah,” chuckles Huckabee. Then stays quiet. I set him up for an easy spike, but he holds his tongue.

Exit question: Since this is NOT the first time Huck has taken swipes at Palin, is this a preview of Ames Iowa Straw Poll in 2011?

Huckabee should give it up. He doesn’t stand a chance of ever becoming President. The same goes for Romney.

Huckabee is not all he appears to be–I have a good friend who lives in Little Rock and is very well informed–he doesn’t like or trust the man at all. As for Sarah Palin—she is a breath of fresh air and what a looker for a woman of her age.

Well, I don´t like Huckabee or Palin. I must say though that Huckabee wasn´t unkind. He merely said that he didn´t think Couric or Gibson were unfair to Palin. Really, that is all he said. He didn´t touch on anything else about Palin.
It is time to move on. Palin did a poor job with most of her interviews. Period. She did. Sher, herself did a bad job and she she can´t admit it, WE had better. Let´s call a spade a spade.
Couric didn´t edit or SPLICE Palin´s answers, which were vague and SILLY. Couric asked some softball questions and Palin answered, no one put words in her mouth. I wish they HAD!
In 2007 Palin gave H. Clinton some advice (ON YOUTUBE), Palin said Clinton should SHUT UP, STOP WHINING ABOUT THE MEDIA AND GO AND DO A BETTER JOB. She should watch her video again, and take it to heart. I honestly don´t think this lady is going anywhere. You can justify, qualify, do anything you want but the problems with Palin are myriad.

  • Flap

Apparently, you dislike Palin more from your series of comments about her.

If Palin did such a poor job, then why is the LEFT so riled up about her?

    A threat?

    You betcha.

  • Deo

Riled? Your word. I think a better word is CONCERNED.
Many people ARE concerned because Palin embodies everything that was wrong with Bush, from the dim witted disconnect to using the word NUK-U-LAR. Many similarties. One dolt is barely out the door and a small but loud portion of America has adopted another remedial learner.
Have you ever been in a position to hire anyone? Many HAVE. You hire the best person, and this doesn´t mean you are AFRAID of the others that you did not bother to hire. It merely means you thought they were not right for the job.

    Another good word is AGHAST.

  • Flap

So, Palin Derangement Syndrome has replaced Bush Derangement Syndrome.

I wonder who the left was going to demonize now that W is leaving office.

    And, why do you care?

“The One” is in office. Now, work your magic to correct the evil Bush.

    If you can……

  • Deo

Well, this is the whole point, Flap. There is no MAGIC to work! We are in trouble, would have been whether McCain got in, or Howdy Doody or anybody. THE DAMAGE IS TRULY DONE. I work ABROAD, you have no idea how bad the American situation is. There is NO MAGIC. You donñt even know the half of
    half it yet.
Bush is like an oil spill. It will take generations to repair this, IF it´s even possible.
Palin is the SAME accident waiting to happen. IF things ever did get back on track, you would have to pick a much stronger candidate-leader to CONTINUE to stear the good ship America off the rocks. I am sorry, but the mere suggestion of Palin is just plain irresponsbile. It means you are not fully understanding the depth and magnitude of this.

  • Flap

You work abroad which means you are not an American, right?

I do know American politics, which apparently you do not.

Go ahead and hate Palin and Bush.

Let’s see how well “The One” does in office to improve the American situation – whatever that is.

  • Deo

No, Flap it means I am an American that works overseas. I was able to VOTE via absentee ballot, I have a house in America, also one iin Madrid, where I WORK alot. I am American.
    WHERE DO YOU COME FROM,
You work abroad therefore you are not an american…are you for real_
MANY AMERICANS work for companies that have branches WORLDWIDE, Flap, ACTUALLY WORLDWIDE!
I am very well versed in American politics, as well, as politcis ABROAD.

and I submit to you that if you were well versed in American politics you would not support a whining loon, such as Palin.

OK, I am off, I can’t play with you anymore, therefore NOW you are free to write what you wish against what I ghave said without rebuttal. We will make it easy for you.

  • Flap

If you did a little research you would know where I am from.

I doubt you are an American from your profound lack of knowledge of American politics and simplistic left wing memes.

    Have a good day.

  • Deo

I was born in Jersey City, NJ, you loon. You are not getting off that easy…oh, please don;t listen to any of her talking points, as SHE is not even from America. Yes, I am, thick one, I WORK abroad.
I don’t have to research anything about YOU, you can’t even debate.
    Yes, have a nice evening.
    It’s been swell.
