A reader dropped this piece on Flap: Alleged GOP Blackmail Plot Exposed

Last year, an unidentified blackmailer allegedly went to the home of S.C. Republican Party Chairman Katon Dawson with information of a highly personal and sensitive nature involving a prominent South Carolina Republican official.

Multiple theories exist as to the identity of this GOP official (and the nature of the information ostensibly provided to Dawson), but for the purposes of this narrative and on the advice of our attorneys we are sticking exclusively to what has been confirmed to us by law enforcement personnel, not political sources.

After divulging the nature of the incriminating material, the blackmailer is said to have requested $200,000 dollars to furnish all copies of the material in their possession to Dawson.

According to our sources, after viewing a sample of the material and receiving the extortion demand, Dawson reportedly told the blackmailer to give him twenty-four hours to come up with the money.

The next day, the blackmailer is said to have returned to Dawson’s home, only they didn’t receive the money – but were instead taken away and given a savage beating by three SLED agents.

Following the beat down, the blackmailer was reportedly informed that “this is what happens” to people who attempt to extort money from elected officials in South Carolina.

They were also reportedly informed that they had 24 hours to leave the state and never return – an “offer” the blackmailer accepted.

Katon Dawson has some ‘plaining to do – especially to the assembled Republican National Committee which is meeting and selecting a new Chairman this week. Why did Dawson not report the extortion attempt and was he behind the “VIGILANTE” justice?

Flap has opined that Dawson should withdraw as a candidate for Chairman of the Republican National Committee.

This is just another nail in his coffin.

Update:

Then, there is this fake/parody USA Today headliner (circulating anonymously around GOP circles) which speaks to the same issues as Flap has:

I’m reprinting what I just commented on the earlier post about Dawson, because it applies here, as before:

I sense a huge setup by the RINO contingency…

This happens every single time Republicans start returning to “Conservative” and abandoning the “Main Street Republicans” who embrace the likes of open borders and call everyone else “xenophobes” and “racists” if and when they have so much as one “White” relative anywhere anytime or themselves may look or, yeegads, are themselves White.

The whole point is that this “you’re a racist” screed is USED for purposes of increasingly adopting the GOP to be a Liberal version of the Democrats, who have since gone Communist. Seriously, I mean that.

This guy sure seems to have been subjected to a massive P.R. avalanche by the “you’re a racist” crowd and that means, the RINOs. They truly revile Conservatives, as much as Democrats do.

ALSO, I have noticed a dramatic uptick in attempts by spam blogs and other Leftists to impune Conservative writers, sites, media in general, with one racist tag or perspective or another.

I was alarmed when in November 2008 I heard then Secy. Chertoff declare that “they” (federal intelligence, Chertoff was generalizing) were “going after White Supremacy” groups and I wondered how it was that that odd declaration was even being made, what with PARTICULARLY noticeable crime waves underway among “other than White” people or groups. Not like I’m seeing or hearing any “White supremacists” running amok in the streets or even reading anything by “them” on the internet or in the Leftwing media.

So whatever Chertoff was saying seemed strange to a point of worrisome to me, as if there was some cryptic threat involved hinging upon agitation or intentional racist-hatred of his own. It was simply weird to read his statement.

And I note that, what, a few websites exist to present such (White Supremacy) yet how many people does anyone you know or I know visit those sites? My answer is, “none.” What with the massive crimewaves from OTHER racialist defined groups in the U.S. and at our borders or on them, it seems entirely strange to a point of ugliness that the federal government is declaring some targeting of “White” people.

McCain and the RINOs created a lot of heartbreak in the last eight years fomenting by implication certain disdain for traditional American values as they exist among the pro-borders, pro-enforcement groups and individuals and it has hurt the Right more than nearly anything that the Left has ever done to attack the GOP. And it’s why the Party is hurting today, given the pain this nonsensical denigration has created, denigration of “White people” for nothing more than having, what, ancestry in North America that originated centuries ago in Northern Europe?

There’s more to the U.S.A. than skin color and tone and South and Central America’s demands and the sooner the GOP gets it that RINOs and all this race-agitation is failing, the better. From what I’m reading, there sure sounds like a lot of strangeness trying to be applied to Dawson. I’d like to read the truth behind the hype here.
