Pat Toomey to Challenge GOP Senator Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania Primary Race?

Former GOP Congressman and Club for Growth President Pat Toomey

Looks like there may be a re-match of the race from six years ago in which Toomey lost in the Republican primary election by ONLY 1.7%.

Former Congressman Pat Toomey (R, PA-15), current Club for Growth President, just announced on Bobby Gunther Walsh’s 1-On-1 Show, WAEB, 790AM, that a Primary challenge to Senator Arlen Specter is “now back on the table.”

Mr. Toomey acknowledged that “Senator Specter cast the deciding vote on the very worrisome stimulus Bill, when he could have negotiated with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and President Obama for more productive tax cuts and less wasteful spending.” Pennsylvanians need to do some soul searching about who will really represent us in the Senate.

The latest poll is unfavorable for Specter winning re-election.

Isn’t Specter one of the big behind the scenes bipartisan supporters of Rendell & Fumo’s Culturally bankrupt Barnes Museum Move in Philly that is costing PA taxpayers $137mn by way of an undebated midnight PA 2002 Legislative appropriation (H.B. 1213)? In the middle of this dangerous recession, Rendell and the PA Legislature are irresponsibly using millions upon millions of PA taxpayer money to gut The Barnes Foundation, one of America’s only major National Landmarks of Our Golden Age, The Roaring 20’s,, and to tear the art out of it so their rich buddies who run the Pew Trusts can relocate the Art to Phily to make another Museum that loses Money in Center City Philly (Just like the detioriating Steamtown fiasco).

The Phila Art Museum just lost $90mn and had to lay off 30 workers. Museum & Historical Society budgets are being cut all over PA, but Rendell & The PA Legislature won’t back off The BARNES ART MOVE. Rendell was in Philly in October 2008 promising $30mn from his rainy day fund for the Move & Mayor Nutter ponied-up $10mn he didn’t have to start clearing a site (Now Nutter is closing firehouses & libraries & freezing the hiring of new D.A.s to pay for his $10mn+ budget shortfall- they play/you pay).

The Barnes Move will Poison the reputations of these men for years to come and Pennsylvania is fast becoming a disgusting laughingstock of The Art World. The Pa Dutch/Irish Dr. Barnes actually won a medal from The French Govt for his effort to preserve art in his Merion Mansion. People from all over the world visit The Barnes in Merion for its historic significance. But PA & the Pew & Annenberg Trusts won’t even promote the facility (our students have mostly never heard of it) nor will they permit walk-up admission. That’s probably because the Culturally illiterate power brokers of Pennsylvania want to violate Dr. Barnes’ Indenture of Trust requiring that his historically significant Mansion and its Art remain intact in Merion Station, PA and they don’t want you to know what they are doing.

Pennsylvania, your representatives don’t seem to have any respect for your culture or your fine traditions. They only seem to care about dancing to FUMO’s and Rendell’s tune. Corbett could do something about this, but he won’t. Is Toomey any different? Is he, perhaps, a fiscal conservative that won’t sanction Trust DEVIANCE and who has some cultural decency and honor for a dead man’s property? Visit Barnesfriends.org & Artjail.org Come Experience The Barnes in Merion before they use your Tax & Charitable Dollars to Alter Its World Famous serene, soulful experience forever.

Pat-Go for it – -beat Specter’s pants right off his backside; what this country needs is an immediate “recall” (firing) of the impostor in the oval office and all of his democratic puppets; along with all the RINO’s. Hope America comes to it senses before 2012! And let’s pray the dem’s aren’t successful in destroying what’s left of this country in the meantime!
