And the crowds asked [John the Baptist], "What then should we do?" In reply he said to them, "Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise." (NRSV, Luke 3:10-11)

Has anyone ever considered there are benefactors, friends or family among us that would give a phone, prepaid or otherwise, to a needy individual so they may be contacted by potential employers, family or medical personnel? Must one be dirt poor and near death before they qualify for any kind of handout? I have several friends I help out that have their own apartments that can barely afford anything else, including food.

What the hell is wrong with you people?

@ Flap

Your comment was to be expected but has no merit. Doesn't he already have a cellphone? I do believe that's what sparked all of this, he's "homeless" and HAS a cellphone. Key word being HAS Flap. It's obviously you didn't read the last part of my comment....... Scroll up ^^^

Ok, you can give this guy a cell phone on your dime - not mine.

How is that?
