(NRSV, Luke 3:10-11) Has anyone ever considered there are benefactors, friends or family among us that would give a phone, prepaid or otherwise, to a needy individual so they may be contacted by potential employers, family or medical personnel? Must one be dirt poor and near death before they qualify for any kind of handout? I have several friends I help out that have their own apartments that can barely afford anything else, including food. What the hell is wrong with you people?
