Day By Day by Chris Muir

The American public is learning the hard way when you elect as President an untested and inexperienced POL who promises you “Hope and Change” instead of concrete, specific policy proposals.

The Obama Presidency has been one gaffe or misstep after another. The economy is tanking further, job losses are accelerating and the government is spending like a group of drunken sailors – racking up a massive debt that may bankrupt the country.

In the meantime, Obama to shore up his poll numbers is making a campaign like tour of The Tonight Show and 60 Minutes.

Don’t say that Flap didn’t warn you prior to last November.

3085272732 f6836b9956 o Joe Biden Compares Obama to Messiah Easter is About Him

Oh that Joe Biden!
“Axelrod really wanted me to do this on teleprompter — but I told him I’m much better when I wing it. … I know these evenings run long, so I’m going to be brief. Talk about the audacity of hope. … President Obama does send his greetings, though. He can’t be here tonight — because he’s busy getting ready for Easter. (Whisper) He thinks it’s about him. …

Another Joe Biden Moment.

Maybe Obama should have attnded the Gridiron dinner after all.

3376278816 d2c5e62446 o Shocker: Obama Will BANKRUPT USA Senator Gregg

Not really a shock.

The top Republican on the Senate Budget Committee says the Obama administration is on the right course to save the nation’s financial system.

But Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire also says President Barack Obama’s massive budget proposal will bankrupt the country.

Gregg says he has no regrets in withdrawing his nomination to become commerce secretary. He pulled out after deciding he could not fully back the administration’s economic policies.

The senator said Obama’s spending plan in the midst of a prolonged recession would leave the next generation with a country too expensive to live in.

Obama and the Democrats must stop the spending and stop it NOW. Someone will have to eventually pay and that somebody is our children and grandchildren with a reduced quality of life.

Just say NO to more government spending.

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Sorru, but, I was away yesterday with errands and visiting my father in law who is in the hospital. The above is yesterday’s Day By Day.

The Tea Party tax revolt which started with the Obama Economic Stimulus Law commonly referred as PORKULUS is growing as the Democrats go back to the well to spend and then spend some more.

Here is Michelle’s round-up of yesterday’s Tea Parties.

  • The Obama administration will call for increased oversight of executive pay at all banks, Wall Street firms and possibly other companies as part of a sweeping plan to overhaul financial regulation, government officials said.

  • Howard Rosenblatt voted for U.S. Sen. Christopher Dodd five years ago. He won't do that again.

"It's time for Chris to resign," said the 62-year-old owner of Rosenblatt's department store in Naugatuck, Conn., a working-class borough of more than 30,000. "He sits on the Senate banking commission, and he had his hands on funny money loans."

Earl Reilly, a 59-year-old factory worker from Naugatuck, shares Rosenblatt's anger with the state's senior senator.

"Don't get me started on Dodd," he said. "He's been doing the job too long, and he's got a hole in his canoe and it's sinking."

  • Iran's supreme leader rebuffed President Barack Obama's latest outreach on Saturday, saying Tehran was still waiting to see concrete changes in U.S. policy.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was responding to a video message Obama released Friday in which he reached out to Iran on the occasion of Nowruz, the Persian new year, and expressed hopes for an improvement in nearly 30 years of strained relations.

Khamenei holds the last word on major policy decisions, and how Iran ultimately responds to any concrete U.S. effort to engage the country will depend largely on his say.

  • Gov. Sarah Palin owes more than a half million dollars to an Anchorage law firm that has defended her against ethics complaints, and she may create a legal fund to pay the bill, she said Friday.

  • And reader Camille Ky-Smith writes: “On Yahoo’s home page there is a ‘top news headline’ on the AIG protests. ‘About 40 protesters sought to urge AIG executives who received a portion of the $165 million in bonuses to do more to help families.’ The tea parties? Not a word…” Yet there were upward of 3,000 in Orlando alone.
  • Working Families Party Making Inroads

by Scott Whipple (New Britain Herald) Oct. 28th, 2008

… Asked about the party’s joint founder, ACORN (The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), Dinkin said “while it’s fair to say that ACORN has a role in Working Families, allegations of voter fraud against ACORN are trumped up. At worst, a couple of people who worked for ACORN tried to cheat ACORN and not do their jobs. These people were identified and fired. I’m impressed with what a good operation they run.” …

    So it all becomes clear.

The only question is why does ACORN feel the need to hide behind a front group?

  • Now these executives are toxic, and those communities are rattled and divided. Private security guards have been stationed outside their houses, and sometimes the local police drive by. A.I.G. employees at the company’s office tower in Lower Manhattan were told to avoid leaving the building while a demonstration was going on outside. The memo also advised them to avoid displaying company-issued ID cards when they left the office and to abandon tote bags or other items with the A.I.G. logo.

  • The Connecticut Working Families Party this weekend has organized a bus store that will make stops at Wilton, Connecticut, AIG office as well as the security-patrolled homes of AIG execs who are fearing for their lives.

"We're going to be peaceful and lawful in everything we do," said Jon Green, the director of Connecticut Working Families. "I know there's a lot of anger and a lot of rage about what's happened. We're not looking to foment that unnecessarily, but what we want to do is give folks in Bridgeport and Hartford and other parts of Connecticut who are struggling and losing their homes and their jobs and their health insurance an opportunity to see what kinds of lifestyle billions of dollars in credit-default swaps can buy."

  • Nevada Sen. Harry Reid has sent a letter to President Barack Obama asking for clarification to a provision that restricts casinos from using federal stimulus funds.

The Democratic majority leader says in a letter sent Friday that the provision is "overly broad" and is discouraging nonprofit groups from applying for stimulus money.

Reid argues that casinos are often the only suitable space for conferences and workshops held by community organizations. He also cites a women's group that often uses casino hotel rooms as transitional housing for victims of violence.

The Senate approved the provision, introduced by Republican Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, last month in a 73-24 vote. Reid voted against the measure, while Nevada Republican Sen. John Ensign supported it.

  • Perhaps Barack Obama was just trying to make Joe Biden feel better by dropping his clanger on Jay Leno. Whatever the President was thinking, 60 days into their new administration it's time for a post-election Obama-Biden Top 10, in reverse order:
  • Gov. Sarah Palin is refusing to accept over 30 percent of the federal economic stimulus money being offered to Alaska, including dollars for schools, energy assistance and social services.
The news Thursday drew anger from those who accused Palin of putting her national political aspirations ahead of the state's interests, and admiration from others who say she has courage to turn down money that would expand government. The state Legislature will have an opportunity to override her decision.

Palin is not taking about $288 million of the $930.7 million that Alaska is due in the federal stimulus. Palin said she is accepting the federal stimulus money that would go for construction projects, but not funding directed at government operations.

"We are not requesting funds intended to just grow government," Palin said. "In essence we say no to operating funds for more positions in government."

  • We've hear from time to time that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is a big draw for GOP events. Sometimes it's easy to forget just how big a draw she is.

Sarah Palin will visit Evansville for two events in April.

She's scheduled to attend the annual Vanderburgh County Right to Life banquet on April 16.

The banquet itself is sold out, but 2,500 tickets are being sold for a live broadcast feed of her appearance in the centre auditorium, which is located in the same complex as the banquet. If those tickets sell out, it could be the largest event in the history of the centre.

The banquet itself seats 2180 people.

Governor Sarah Palin’s Address to the 2009 Special Olympics in Boise, Idaho

Yes, Governor Palin’s remarks above are certainly a contrast to Obama’s.

President Barack Obama on last night’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Ok, here is the Palin hit on Obama.

“I was shocked to learn of the comment made by President Obama about Special Olympics,” Governor Palin said. “This was a degrading remark about our world’s most precious and unique people, coming from the most powerful position in the world.

“These athletes overcome more challenges, discrimination and adversity than most of us ever will. By the way, these athletes can outperform many of us and we should be proud of them. I hope President Obama’s comments do not reflect how he truly feels about the special needs community.”

Flap knows this may be political retribution for this, this and this.

But, Obama’s comment was a MAJOR GAFFE and Palin had every right to call him on it. Now, Flap awaits John McCain to say he has a good heart….one, two, three……..
