Thomas Van Flein discusses the dismissal of an ethics complaint filed against Gov. Sarah Palin on the Eddie Burke radio program on May 8, 2009.

Another Sarah Palin BS Alaska Ethics complaint has been dismissed today.

An attorney hired by the state personnel board has dismissed an ethics complaint claiming that Gov. Sarah Palin’s role in the political action committee SarahPAC poses a conflict with her official duties as governor.

“I find that the complaint does not allege facts which constitute a violation of the Ethics Act. Therefore an investigation is not warranted. Pursuant to my authority…the complaint is hereby dismissed,” independent counsel Thomas Daniel concluded today.

The complaint was brought by Anchorage resident Sondra Tompkins.

The complaint says the governor abdicated her governor duties at a critical time — the end of the legislative session, when she went to Indiana for two events, a Right to Life banquet and a breakfast for families with Down syndrome children.

“The recent partisan trip to Indiana by the Governor was purely to benefit personal interests, had no benefit for the State of Alaska and was in direct conflict with her official duties,” the complaint said.

Daniel, an Anchorage attorney, said that’s a political issue, not an ethical one.

“The governor’s decision to leave the state at the end of the legislative session, may have been unwise. But the voters should express their opinion on that subject at the ballot box – not in an ethics complaint,” he wrote.

Of course, the complaint was politically motivated and had nothing to do with good government, ethics or anything but partisanship.

It is interesting that the MSM is all over the place when one of these complaints is filed against the Alaska governor but seem to miss the dismissla part.

Maybe it is because Alaska is so far West for the Eastern time zone USA press?

Right…..

3514149370 dcbaee0352 o The Permanent Obama Campaign: Credit Card Edition

President Barack Obama will be holding a town hall meeting next week in New Mexico to promote congressional efforts to reform credit card practices.

Is hope on the way for those who cannot pay their credit card bills?

Sadly no.

Obama is just hyping his already announced reforms in a key swing state which he won last November.

No bailouts – at least not yet.

The CIA confirms that Nancy Pelosi was briefed on Enhanced Interrogation Techniques in 2002.

When President Obama first released the CIA memos about waterboarding and other CIA enhanced interrogation techniques to blame the Bush Administration for “TORTURE,” I relished the thought of Congressional hearings so the true story would come out.

Now, with the latest revelations, GOP Congressman Pete Hoekstra, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee is asking for the release of more CIA documents (like Vice President Cheney already has) and is considering calling for Congressional hearings on the matter.

Open public Congressional Hearings and placing Speaker Pelosi under oath to answer questions would be a good idea.

Want to bet President Obama now regrets placing his fellow Democrats in political peril and the whole “TORTURE FLAP” dies a quiet death?

Canadian physician Dr. Brian Day discusses the Canadian Socialized healthcare system

A new website is up: The Faces of Government Healthcare

Before Congress considers any form of government-run health care, they should hear the voices of patients denied care because the government deemed it too costly or delayed care because of long waiting lists for surgery or diagnostic tests.

Any serious discussion of health care reform that does not include choice, competition, accountability and responsibility — the four “pillars” of patients’ rights — will result in our government truly becoming a “nanny-state,” making decisions based on what is best for society and government rather than individuals deciding what is best for each of us.

Check it out…..

Candidate Obama once ridiculed and belittled John McCain during the campaign for proposing small budget cuts by cutting earmarks. Remember when he said that earmarks “aren’t “going to solve the problem?”

Now, Senator McCain talks a lot about earmarks. That’s one of the centerpieces of his campaign. Earmarks account for one-half of 1 percent of the total federal budget. There’s no doubt that the system needs reform and there are a lot of screwy things that we end up spending money on, and they need to be eliminated. But it’s not going to solve the problem.

Uhhhhh no it won’t. But what about your campaign rhetoric, Mr President?

Oh, it is just a start, you say…….spin, spin, spin

Right.
