So says the latest Public Policy Institute of California poll on California May 19 Special Election Propositions.

Here are the numbers:

• Proposition 1A: 52 percent no, 35 percent yes
• Proposition 1B: 47 percent no, 40 percent yes
• Proposition 1C: 58 percent no, 32 percent yes
• Proposition 1D: 45 percent no, 43 percent yes
• Proposition 1E: 48 percent no, 41 percent yes
• Proposition 1F: 73 percent yes, 24 percent no

There is no surprise here.

California voters do not trust RINO Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger who has reneged on his no or low tax pledges that swept him into office. And, voters do not trust the Democrat dominated Legislature who never met a tax they did not like and who have spent the state into bankruptcy.

Governor Schwarzenegger now enjoys a 34 per cent approval rating and the California Legislature fairs more poorly with a approval rating of 12 per cent.

• LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE – CIA Says Pelosi Was Briefed on Use of 'Enhanced Interrogations'
  Intelligence officials released documents this evening saying that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was briefed in September 2002 about the use of harsh interrogation tactics against al-Qaeda prisoners, seemingly contradicting her repeated statements over the past 18 months that she was never told that these techniques were actually being used.

  In a 10-page memo outlining an almost seven-year history of classified briefings, intelligence officials said that Pelosi and then-Rep. Porter Goss (R-Fla.) were the first two members of Congress ever briefed on the interrogation tactics. Then the ranking member and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, respectively, Pelosi and Goss were briefed Sept. 4, 2002, one week before the first anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

• Good riddance? GOP relies on Specter-like recruits – RINO Recruitment
  For many Republicans, including Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, the reaction to Sen. Arlen Specter’s party switch was unequivocal: good riddance.

  Yet even as his jilted former party slams the door behind him, the GOP is quietly pursuing a 2010 strategy that relies heavily on candidates nearly identical to Specter. The party’s road to winning back a Senate majority, it seems, is paved with moderates whose records are sure to make conservatives blanch.

  For the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s recruitment list for 2010 reads like a roster of some of the party’s best-known RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) and squishes — the derisive terms applied to centrists by movement conservatives.

• President Obama Admits Missile Defense is PROVEN
  The Administration proposes to terminate the Multiple Kill Vehicle (MKV), which is a long-term research and development program designed to counter ballistic missile threats by using several "kill" vehicles launched from a single interceptor, or missile. The Administration will instead focus on proven, near-term missile defense programs that can provide more immediate defenses of the United States, its deployed forces, and allies against ballistic missile attack.

  Justification

  The primary reason the Administration proposes to terminate this long-term development program is to focus, instead, on proven, near-term missile defense programs, such as the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) and the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense programs. The capabilities of the THAAD and Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense programs have been demonstrated through numerous successful flight tests. This termination of MKV will save over $4 billion from 2010 through 2015.
