Congress needs to follow the first rule of medical care: FIRST DO NO HARM.

Both houses of congress need to "man up": read, understand and experience all the impact of the proposed legislation. Volunteer themselves, staff and their families to be the first group to get their health care as a control group trial of the legislation. NOT EXEMPT themselves from the effect of legislation!!! Perhaps after five years all members of all three branches of government have lived with the exact details of the proposed legislation......then perhaps the American taxpayers will consider the health care reform for the rest of the American public. Once we see the result on the elite governing class.

I think we can work with the current system to expand the options to the low and no income population without attempting to overhaul the current system. It would be a cost effective solution and we can benefit from previous experience. It would take time and it should. This Health Care Reform is nothing but grand stading and posturing in the same style that the "stimulus" bill. I strongly oppose it.

The problem is that our current health care system is dependent on excluding part of the population so that the rest can receive quick care.

There is no easy solution to the problems involving health care. This is why everyone must be included in the debate. And by everyone, I mean even the insurance companies, drug companies, individuals, doctors, and insurance companies. So many people have an interest in this and it does not fall on just a select group.
